WHEREAS The General Assembly of these Islands stands
proiogued to Thursday the 27th day of October, 1955.
AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the same should be
further prorogued...
I do, therefore, issue this my proclamation proroguing the said
General Assembly to Thursday the 17th day of November, 1955,
then to meet in the usual place in the City of Nassau for the des-
patch of business.

It is nereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has
been informed by the Right Honourable the Secretary of State
for the Colonies that Her Majesty the Queen will not be advised
to exercise her power of disallowance with respect to the follow-
ing Act of Legislature of the Bahama Islands:-
Act No. 32 of 1955-The Police Act 1955.
His Excellency directs that the above mentioned Act shall
come into operation as on and from the 27th day of October, 1955.

It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has
been informed by the Right Honourable the Secretary of State
for the Colonies that Her Majesty the Queen will not be advised
to exercise her power of disallowance with respect to the follow-
ing Acts of the Legislature of the Bahama Islands:-
No. 12 of 1955-The Ronald Eldred Malone Pension Act 1955
No. 27 of 1955-The Supreme Court Amendment Act 1955.
His Excellency directs that Act No. 12 of 1955 shall come in-
to operation as, on and from the 20th day of June, 1955.

In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by Regula-
tion 3 of the Street Nuisance Prohibition Regulations, 1929, His
Excellency the Governor hereby directs that those Regulations
shall not apply during the hours from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Mon-
day the 26th December, 1955 and on Monday the 2nd January,
1956. 2. No person will be allowed to take part in the Junkanoo
Parades, held in that portion of Bay Street which is closed to
vehicular traffic, unless such person is in possession of a pass
issued tby the Masquerade Committee.
