His Excellency the Acting Governor has approved the follow-
inging appointments:-
Mr. Wenzel Vernon Granger, Assistant Superintendent of Police,,
to be a Commissioner Grade III on probation with effect
from the 1st July, 1955-M.P.P. 127
Major John Wintour to be Acting Clerk to the Executive Council
with effect from the 13th July, 1955-M.P. 13424.

The public is hereby notified that certain clerical errors as
listed hereunder appear in the Exchange Control Regulations
1955, published in Government Notice No. 111 of 1955 as a supple-
ment to the O.G. 1955.
1. Index
(i) The figures and words, "42. Acquisition by Controller
of certain securities" appearing on page 2 under PART VII, head-
ed "SPECIAL PROVISIONS" should read as follows:
"42. Restriction on sale of real property".
(ii) The figures and words, "43. Power of Controller to
direct sale of certain securities", appearing on page 2 under
PART VII, headed "SPECIAL PROVISIONS" should read as
follows:
"43. Power of Controller to prohibit action on certain orders
as to gold etc".
(iii) The figures and words,
(a) "44. Custody and disposition of document of title to
Securities", and
(b) "45. Power of Controller to prohibit action on certain
orders as to gold etc.",
both appearing on page 3 under PART VII, headed "SPECIAL
PROVISIONS" should be deleted.
(iv) The figures, "46", appearing on page 3 under PART
VIII, headed, "SHORT TITLE AND INTERPRETATION" should
read, "44".
(v) The figures and words, "45". Power of Controller to
make orders", should be inserted under PART VIII, headed
"SHORT TITLE AND INTERPRETATION", immediately after

the figures and words, "46. General provisions as to interpreta-
tion."
(vi) The figures, "47.' appearing on page 3 under PART
VIII, headed, "SHORT TITLE AND INTERPRETATION" should
read, "46".
2. The following should be inserted immediately above
regulation 42 on page 24:
"PART VII SPECIAL PROVISIONS."

NOTICE TO HOLDERS OF
BAHAMAS GOVERNMENT
HET DEBENTURES 1952-66
Holders of Hospital, Electricity and Telephone Loan Deben-
tures issued on 1st August, 1951, are notified that in accordance
with provisions of the Loan-Acts jand the Prospectus issued on 1st
June, .1951, from the Colonial Secretary's -Ofice, there will be
on tihe 5th Aiigust, 1955, a drawing by lot of Debentures to be
redeemed. The amount of Debentures to be drawn will be
32,000.
2. Any holder of the above Debentures may be present at the
drawing which will be held at the Public Treasury at 10.00 a.m.
on the morning of the day named above.
