With reference to Government Notice No. 26 of the llth Feb-
ruary, 1954, it is hereby notified that during the temporary absence
from New Providence of His. Excellency the Governor on .a visit
to Cat Island and Long Island from the 28th to 30th April, 1955,
the Honourable A. G. H. Gardner-Brown, M.E.C., Colonial Secre-
tary is acting as His Excellency's Deputy.

pointments to take effect from the 1st May, 1955:-
Mr. Claude Saunders-Accountant Public Works Department to be
Assistant Treasurer.
Mr. E. A. Thompson-Acting Accountant Post Office to be Acting
Accountant Public Works Department.
Mr. C. A. Bowen-Accountant Telecommunications Department to
be Acting Accountant Post Office.
Mr. R. A. C. Roberts-Storekeeper Grade I Telecommunications
Department to be Acting Accountant Telecommunications
Department.

It is hereby notified that an application for registration under
the Industries Encouragement Act 1951 has been received from
Captain John Whitehead who intends to manufacture plastic
souvenir goods consisting primarily of "Sea Gardens" incased in
clear plastic with the use of plastic resins, chemicals, abrasive
materials and sea horses. It is proposed to establish this factory
on the ground floor of Captain Whitehead's house in Village Road,
plus a shed in the grounds.
Any person objecting to the registration of such factory should
give notice in writing of his objection and of the grounds of such
objection to the Colonial Secretary before the 16th May, 1955.
