Islands, British Honduras, Barbados (excluding Bridgetown) and
British Guiana (excluding Georgetown), received Her Majesty's
Signature on the 7th February, 1955.

CONSTRUCTION OF SANDILANDS HOSPITAL FOR
MENTAL AND NERVOUS DISEASES,
NASSAU, BAHAMAS
The Board of Works, Nassau, Bahamas, invite tenders for the
construction of a new Mental Hospital in the Eastern District
of New Providence. The Works included in the Contract consist
of the erection and completion of a Depressed Wards and Adminis-
tration Block, a Violent Wards Block linked by a covered way,
a Mortuary and Laundry, Mechanical services, Electrical installa-
tion and external works. Copies of Drawings, Specifications,
Bills of Quantities and Contract Documents may be obtained
from the office of The Director of Public Works during normal
working hours on payment of a deposit of 5C which will be
repayable on receipt of a bona-fide tender and the return of the
Drawings in good condition.
Tenders which must be submitted on the Proposal Form in-
cluded in the Contract Documents in a sealed envelope endorsed
"Tender for Mental Hospital" will be received by the Clerk to
the Board of Health until noon on April 7, 1955.
Bidders will be invited to be present when the Tenders are
opened and will be notified in advance of the time and place.
The Board of Health reserve the right to reject the lowest
or any tender.

SANDILANDS HOSPITAL CONSTRUCTION
NASSAU, BAHAMAS.
Applications are invited for the appointment of Resident
Engineer/Clerk of Works on the above project. The appointment
which is expected to last for approximately 12 months is termin-
able by one months' notice on either side.
Applicants should be not less than 30 years of age, and have
wide experience of setting out of new work, and measuring up of
completed work, supervision of building construction, and erection
of mechanical and electrical plant and installations. Experience
with Building Contractors is desirable.
Applications giving details of age, training, experience and
salary required should be sent in a sealed envelope endorsed
"Clerk of Works, Sandilands Hospital" to the undersigned before
noon on Friday, 1st. April 1955.
