It is hereby notified that, acting on instructions received from the Right
Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, His Excellency the Gov-
ernor has been pleased to recognize Mr. Andrew George Esfakis as Deputy
Honorary Vice Consul for Greece in Nassau.

His Excellency the Governor has been informed by the Right Honourable
the Secretary of State for the Colonies that Her Majesty The Queen will not
be advised to exercise Her power of disallowance with respect to the following
Acts of the Legislature of the Bahama Islands:-
No. 2 of 1953- The Boards of Works Amendment Act 1935.
No. 23 of 1953- The Mental Hospital and Infirmary Loan Act 1953.
No. 68 of 1954- The Apprnpriation Act 1954.

His Excellency the Governor has approved the appointment of Mr. L. A.
W. Orr, B.A., LL.B., to the post of Attorney General with effect from the 17th
February, 1955.

L. A. W. Orr, B.A., LL.B., M.E.C., Attorney General, to be, provisionally, a
Member of the Legislative Council until Her Majesty's pleasure therein shall

Persons Act, 1947 (No. 21 of 1947) is published for general information.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
MADE UNDER
THE CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS ACT, 1947
(No. 21 of 1947).
In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Governor in Council by
Section 3 of the Children and Young Persons Act, 1947, the following Order
is hereby made:
1. This Order may be cited as the Children and Young Persons (Juvenile
Courts Panel) (Amendment) Order 1955.
2. The Children and Young Persons (Juvenile Courts Panel) Order 1955,
is hereby amended by adding to the Schedule thereto the following:
Rev. Donald W. Lambert
Rev. E. Backford.
