COLONIAL SECRETARY'S OFFICE
The following notice is Published, as a supplement to this
Gazette:-
No. 12 The Children and young Persons (Juvenile Courts
Panel) order 1955,

His Excellency the Governor has approved the following appointments:-
Mr. Roy Broadbent, D.F.C., to be Director of Civil Aviation for a period
of one year with effect from the 23rd December, 1954.

No. 14.
His Excellency the Governor has been informed by the Right Honourable
the Secretary of State for the Colonies that Her Majesty the Queen will not
be advised to exercise her power of disallowance with respect to the following
Acts of the Legislature of the Bahama Islands:-
No. 41 of 1954-The Radio and Television Receiver Inland Tax Act 1954.
No. 57 of 1954-The Joseph Henderson Johnson Pension Act 1954.
No. 60 of 1954-The Elizabeth Emily Dupuch Pension Act 1954.
His Excellency directs that Acts Nos. 57 and 60 of 1954 shall come into
operation as on and from the 22nd July, 1954.

Tenders for submission to the Governor-in-Council will bereceived at the
Secretariat until Noon, Saturday the 22nd January, 1955, for the following
Printing Contract.-
The printing of a weekly Gazette and Supplement, the material for
which will be supplied each week from this Office on a day to be
agreed upon with the tenderer. The Gazette will be in foolscap
size and the Supplement containing subsidiary legislation will be in
pamphlet size. The tender should cover the cost and delivery of
300 copies to this Office weekly on the day of publication.
The tenderer should also quote the rate per each additional 50 copies in
excess of 300. Samples of paper to be used should be submitted.
2. Persons tendering are required to submit with their tenders the names
of two eligible persons who are willing to become bound with them for the due
performance of the work and who should also sign and seal the tenders.
3. Tenders should be addressed to tne "ACTING COLONIAL SECRE-
TARY" and marked "TENDERS FOR PRINTING OFFICIAL GA-
ZETTE".
4. The right is reserved of rejecting the whole or any of the tenders.

ALL Foodhandlers, Bartenders, Barbers, Beauticians, etc., are hereby
notified to present themselves for Medical Examination at the Out Patients
Department of the Bahamas General Hospital at 2.30 p.m., commencing
Monday 24th January and continuing Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and
Thursday through February 21st, 1955.
Any Foodhandler, Bartender, Barber, Beautician, etc., found employed
after February 21st, 1955 without a Health Certificate will beliable to prose-
cution.

Bahama Islands has made application to the Chief Justice of the Supreme
Court of the Bahama Islands for letters of Administration with the Will
Annexed, of the real and personal estates of Hezekiah Sands, late of Cherokee
Sound, in the Island of Abaco, one of the Bahama Islands, Fisherman, de-
ceased.

THE CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS ACT, 1947.

In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Governor in Council by
Section 3 of the Children and Young Persons Act, 1947, the following Order is
hereby made:
1. This Order may be cited as the Children and Young Persons (Juvenile
Courts Panel) Order 1955.
2. The persons whose names are set out in the Schedule to this Order
shall be, for the year 1955, the panel for the New Providence Juvenile Court.
