NO. 71. His Excellency the Governor has approved the following
appointments:-
Mr. James Liddell, Acting Registiar General, to be Registrar
General with effect from the 5th April, 1954.

Mr. Martin Prendergast, B.Sc., Inspector and General Superin-
tendent of Schools, to be Acting Director'of Education with effect
frcm the 17th May, 1954.

Mr. Charles Bromfield Sands, Clerk Grade IV on probation, to
be confirmed in his appointment with effect from the 1st April, 1954.

NO. 72. Mr. T. E. Hutchinson, M.A., B.Ss., Dip. of Ed. kOxford),
F.R.S.A., Director of Education, has been granted twelve weeks
vacation leave with effect from the 17th May, 1954, to be followed
