THE AGRICULTURAL AND
MARINE PRODUCTS BOARD
ACT (Ch. 223)

The Agricultural and Marine:
Products Board (Loggerhead
Turtle and Eggs) Rules, 1953.
Short Title
1. These Rules may be cited
as The Agricultural and Marine


Products (Loggerhead Turtle
and Eggs) Rules, 1953.
Prohibition of the Capture and
Taking of Loggerhead Turtle
and its Eggs.
2. During the period from and
including the 1st day of April
until and including the 30th day
of June in each year no person
shall take or capture, buy or sell
or expose or offer for sale on be-
half of himself or any other
person, in any place whatsoever
within the Colony any logger-
head turtle or the eggs of any
loggerhead turtle.
Penalty
3. Any person who commits a
breach of these Rules shall be
liable on summary conviction
to a fine of Fifty pounds.

The Temporary Licensing Of-
fice at the old Bahamas Defence
Company Parade Ground, Fort
Charlotte. West Bay Street will
be opened on Tuesday, Decem-
ber 1st, 1953.
Hours:
Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon.
Motor vehicles will be in-
spected and both vehicle and
driving licences issued.
Owners of motor vehicles
and holders of driving licences
are reminded that their licences
expire on December 31st, and
they are urged to have then ve-
hicles inspected and their li-
cences renewed as soon after
December 1st as possible so
that all licences can be renewed
by January 15th, 1954, as from
that date road checks and
prosecutions will be instituted.
