Whereas by section 2(2) of
the Manufactories Act the
Governor in Council may from
time to t'me by Order in Council
specially declare that any arari-
cultural or marine product may
be manufactured, preserved,
packed or otherwise prepared
for sale or export for such
limited time as may be men-
tioned in such Order.
AND WHEREAS His Ex-
cellency the Governor in
Council deems it necessary to
declare that Crawfish and
Scalefish should be marine pro-
ducts in accordance with the
provisions of the Manufactories
Act.
NOW THEREFORE it is here-


by ordered and declared that
Crawfish and Scalefish be
marine products in accordance
with the provisions of the
Manufactories Act which may
be packed, preserved or other-
wise prepared for sale or ex-
port as from the 1st day of
July 1953. until such time as
this Order is revoked.
The order in Council made
under the Manufactories and
Hotels Act (Ch. 227), dated
the 22nd day of May, 1943, de-
claring scalefish to be a marine
products is hereby revoked.

Made Under
THE BOARDS OF WORKS ACT
(Ch. 31).

In exorcise of the powers con-
ferred upon it by section 16(8)
of the Board of Works Act (Ch
31), the Board of Works for
Harbour Island, with the ap-
proval of the Governor in
Council, hereby makes the fol-
lowing Rules:
1. These Rules may be cited
as the Harbour Island Public
Board of Works (Amendment
Rules. 1953
2. The Harbour Island Public
Board of Works Rules published
under Government Notice No
59 in the Official Gazette dated
thp 14th March, 1914, are here-
by amended by adding thereto
after Rule 8 the following:
"9(a) For the purposes of
this Rule the limits of Dun-
more Town shall be as fol-


lows:- On the North, Grant
Street; on the South; Alice
Street; and on the East and
West the sea.
(b) No person shall
tether or keep in any man-
ner any goat or sheep or
any cattle in the Township
of Dunmore Town, Harbour
Island, or permit any goat
or sheep or any cattle to
be at large in the said
town.
Provided that if a
person wishes to keep in
the said town goats, sheep
and cattle in all not ex-
ceeding 12 in number for
butchery only, then such
person may make applica-
tion to the Board for per-
mission to do so; and if the
Board is satisfied that the
applicant is a bona fide
butcher and that the goats,
sheep and cattle referred
to in the application will
be properly inclosed the
Board shall authorise the
applicant in writing to keep
the said goats, sheep, and
cattle in the said township.
(c) Any person con-
travening the provisions of
this Rule shall be liable on
first conviction to a fine of
Five Pounds and on a sec-
ond or subsequent convic-
tion to a fine of Ten
Pounds."
