Given Under
THE ACQUISITION OF LAND
ACT (Ch. 265)
WHEREAS it appears to His
Excellency the Governor in
Council that the land described
in the Schedule hereto is re-
quired for a public purpose.
NOW THEREFORE, it is here-
by notified that it is the inten-
tion of His Excellency the Gov-
ernor in Council to acquire the
said land for a public purpose.
to wit: for the purpose of pro-


viding facilities for the Public
School at James Cistern, Eleu-
thera.
All persons interested in the
said land shall within 30 days
of the publication of this notice
state in writing to the Colonial
Secretary of the Colony the na-
ture of their respective interests
in the land and the amount and
particulars of their c 1 aim to
compensation for such in-
terests.
SCHEDULE
All that lot piece or parcel
of land situated at James Cis-
tern in the Island of Eleuthera.
square in shape, lying to the
East of the Public School lot at
present owned by the Board of
Education, the Northern boun-
dary being continuous with that
of the said Public School lot.
and running therefrom a dis-
tance of 100 feet: the western
boundary lying along the East-
ern boundary of the said Pub-
lic School lot and running
thereon a distance of 100 feet:
the Southern boundary being
100 feet long and the Eastern
boundary also measuring 100
feet; the whole comprising one
task or approximately one
quarter of an acre more or less.

Made Under
THE AGRICULTURAL AND
MARINE PRODUCTS BOARD
ACT (Ch. 223).
The Agricultural and Marine
Products Board (Stone Crabs)
Rules, 1953.
Short Title
1. These Rules may be cited
as The Agricultural and Marine
Products (Stone Crabs) Rules,
Prohibition of the capture of
Stone Crabs.
2. On and after the 1st
day of March, 1953, and until
further notice no person shall
within two miles of the coast
of the islands of the Biminis
and Grand Bahama, whether
on behalf of himself or any
other person, take, capture, des-
troy, kill, or have in his pos-
session any Stone Crab.
Penalty.
3. Any person who commits
a breach of these Rules shall
be liable on summary convic-
tion to a fine of Twenty-five
pounds.

The Owners and Operators of
all boats plying for hire or
charter in Nassau Harbour in-
cluding boats used for ski-ing,
are hereby notified that in ac-
cordance with Rules made un-
der The Boat Registration Act
(Chap. 10-1930) a licence should
be obtained from the Board of
Pilotage.
Boats should be brought to
Prince George Wharf for in-
spection by the Harbour Mas-
ter.
Any Owner or Master of a
boat plying for hire or charter
without first obtaining a licence
is liable on summary conviction
to a penalty of 25.

of Motor vessels is drawn to
the following Rule, made under
The Pilotage Act (Chap. 143)
11-(b) 16. "No vessel shall pro-
ceed at such a speed that her
wash causes damage or other-
wise incommodes any craft or
person in the area of the Har-
bour of Nassau as defined in
these Rules".
12. Any person contravening
or failing to comply with the
provisions of these Rules shall
be liable on summary conviction
to a fine of 25.
