Invitation to Tender


1. Tenders are invited from suitably qualified
manufacturers or suppliers for one (1)
pre-fabricated industrial steel structure
134ft. x 140ft. clear span x 16ft. to
eaves height and two (2) pre-fabricated indus-
trial steel structure 50ft. x 116ft. clear span x 16ft.
to eaves height; to be financed jointly by
the Belize Development Finance Cor-
poration and the Caribbean Development
Bank.

2. Tender documents and specifications may
be examined in the office of the engineer/
architect in Miami, Florida, U.S.A. at
9765 S.W., 184 Street, or the office of the
Development Finance Corporation in
Belmopan or Belize City, Belize, Cen-
tral America.
3. Prime contractors may receive two copies
of the construction documents from the
above offices on a non-refundable deposit
of US $25.00 and purchase additional
copies at US $15.00 each.

4. Consideration is limited to manufacturers
or suppliers whose regular place of
business is located in one of the following

the General Manager, Development Finance Cor-
poration, P.O. Box 40, Belmopan, Belize. The
closing date for the receipt of tenders is 4.00 p.m.
on the 24th December, 1976.
6. The Belize Development Finance Corpora-
tion reserves the right not to award the contract
to the lowest or any tender.

The Development Finance Corporation (DFC)
of Belize, Central America, invites the submission
of prequalificaton data from interested con-
tractors in connection with the construction of an
Industrial Estate located at Ladyville, about
10 miles from Belize City on the Northern
Highway.
2. The Project will consist generally of the
following:
(a) Erection of three prefabricated steel
structures-two of 6,000 sq. ft. each
and another of 20,000 sq. ft. in areas.
(b) Construction of concrete foundations,
floor slabs and cladding of walls
including the provision of all
necessary services for (a) above.

(c) The installation of utilities and sanitary
facilities.

(d) External works, i.e. surface drainage
sewage disposal, landscaping, drive-
way and paving areas.

3. The D.F.C. has obtained a loan from the
Caribbean Development Bank to assist with the
Project, and because of the funding used, only
Contractors whose principal place of business is
in one of the following territories qualifies:-

4. It is anticipated that tenders will be invited
during January, 1977, from prequalified Con-
tractors experienced in this type of work. The
D.F.C. of Belize accordingly invites submission
of prequalification data from interested con-
struction firms for consideration, and these should
include but not limited to the following:
(a) The firm's experience and past per-
formance record on similar types of
projects.
(b) Information on the reputation, ability,
size and structure of the firm.
(c) Curricula Vitae of Principals and
qualified personnel of the firm.
