Now ,THEREFORE, by virtue of the power and authority in me vested under the provisions of
section'61 (1)'ofithe Constitution of Grenada set out in Schedule 2 to the Grenada Constitution
Order 1973, and acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister, I HEREBY
AUTHORISE YOU the said HERBERT JOHN PREUDHOMME as from Monday 13th day of
September, 1976, to perform the functions conferred by the said Constitution on the Prime Minister
Eric Matthew Gairy (other than the functions conferred on the said Prime Minister Eric Matthew
Gairy by section 61 of the said Constitution) until the Prime Minister Eric Matthew Gairy returns
to Grenada or until your authority for so doing is sooner revoked by me acting.as aforesaid.

Prospectus offering for sale an issue of
Grenada Government 7% Bonds, 1991/92, free
of income tax.
17th September, 1976.


NOTICE
TREASURY BILLS-ISSUE NO. 14

Tenders are invited for the issue of Grenada
Government Treasury Bills which will be made in
the amount of $1,500,000.
These Bills will be in denominations of $1,("-')
and $50,000 and will be payable at par ninety-aon
days after the date of issue. They will be issued on
Tuesday, 21st September, 1976, and payable on
Monday, 20th December, 1976.
Each Tender must be for an amount not less
than $1,000 and must specify the amount which
will be given for every ONE HUNDRED
DOLLARS of the amount tendered.
Bills will be issued in denominations appropriate
to the amount requested in the Tender.
Application forms are available at the
Treasury and, when completed, should be
forwarded .to the Treasury in sealed envelopes
addressed: Confidential
TREASURY BILL TENDER
The Accountant General,
The Treasury,
St. George's.
All applications must reach the Treasury not
later than 11.00 a.m. on 16th September, 1976.
Successful applicants will be notified by letter
not later than 19th September, 1976.
The Government of Grenada reserves the right

5,000 square feet in area measuring

Post of Secretary to the Chief Justice and
Secretary to the Judicial and Legal
Services Commission



Applications are invited from suitably quali-
fied persons for appointment to the post of
Secretary to the Chief Justice and Secretary to
the Judicial and Legal Services Commission.
The following particulars relate to the post: -

SALARY:
The salary of the post is in the scale E-$4,884x
180-$5,964x216-$6,396.

DUTIES :
The duties of Secretary to the Chief Justice
will be the normal duties attached to such a post.
The duties of Secretary to the Judicial and Legal
Services Commission will be defined by the
Chief Justice, Chairman of the Commission to
whom the officer will be responsible for their
efficient performance.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Applicants should possess a G.C.E. 'O' level
pass in English Language, a Shorthand Certifi-
cate of 80 words per minute and should be able
to transcr-be accurately from Shorthand notes at
the rate of 40 words per minute. Due regard will
be paid to competence, experience and suit-
ability for the particular position.

Appliations giving personal data and accom-
pan ed by two recent testimonials (not applicable
to officers already in the Public Service) should
be submitted to the Chief Personnel Officer and
Secretary to the Public Service Commission, The
Carenage, St. George's, to reach him not later
than 20th September, 1976.

development bonds as indicated above.
Purposes : The proceeds of the loan will be applied for the purposes
set out hereunder namely :

Denominations : The bonds will be of the denominations of $100,
$500, $1,000 $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $25,000, $50,000, $100,000.
Interest: Interest will be payable half-yearly by bearer coupons
(attached to the bonds) on 15th March and 15th September of each year.
Coupons will be encashed on presentation at the Treasury, St. George's.

The principal and interest thereon will not be subject to any taxes,
duties or levies of the Government of Grenada.











Redemption of bonds-Sinking fund : The bonds will be repayable at
par not later than 16th September, 1992, but the Government of Grenada
will have the option of redeeming the bonds in whole or in part by drawing
or at par or at any time prior to such date on giving six months'
notice by advertisement in the Government Gazette and at least one (1)
newspaper circulating in Grenada.

A sinking fund will be formed for the redemption of the bonds and
half-yearly contributions to the fund will be at the rate of not less than
3% p.a., and the first contribution to the fund will be made not later than
five years after the date on which the interest on any bonds issued in respect
of such loan commences to run.

The bonds are secured on the general revenues and assets of the Govern-
ment of Grenada.

Public Debt : The public debt of Grenada as at 31st August, 1976,
was $24,795,061. At the same date sinking funds in respect of three (3)
separate issues of stock amounting to $8,770,050 had accumulated to a
total of $2,855,661. The remaining $16,025,011 is being discharged by
annual payments.

Applications : Applications on the prescribed form must be addressed
to the Accountant General,

Payment may be made on or after allotment and must be made not later
'ha the' first day of the month after allotment.

Cheques should be made payable to, the Accountant General. They
should be crossed and may be'deposited to the account of the Government
of Grenada at any of the commercial banks operating in Grenada and *muit
be accompanied by the full amount of the purchase price of the bonds for
which application is made.' A separate cheque must accompany each
application. In the case of partial allotment the surplus will be refunded.
