Grenadines Issue of stamps to commemorate the
"Bi Centenary of The American Revolution" will
be released at The General Post Office, the Dis-
trict Post Office at Hillsborough and Petit
Martinique on Tuesday, 18th May, 1976.
Denominations are , 1o, 2o, 35o, 50o, $1.00
and $2.00. Souvenir Sheets at $3.00 each will be
available.
These stamps will be on sale for a period of
three months from the date of issue or until
stocks are exhausted, whichever is the sooner.

Notice before Cancelling of Registration

Friendly Societies Ordinance No. 38 of 1954.
Name of Friendly Society: St. Andrew's
Peasants Association.

Notice is hereby given to the above named
Society that it is the intention of the Registrar to
proceed on the 30th day of July, 1976 pursuant
to Section 45 (la) to cancel the registration of the
Society unless cause be shown to the contrary in
the meantime.


, The ground for such cancellation is that the
Society has ceased to exist.

And further take Notice that immediately upon
such cancellation of registration all realisable per-
sonal property of the Society must be delivered,
and full particulars of all other realisable
property of the said Society must be submitted to
the Registrar or his nominee.

PRE-QUALIFICATION NOTICE

Expansion and Improvement of the Port of
Bridgetown

INTER-AMERICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK
LOAN NO. 277/OC-BA

Pre-Qualification of Contractors-Contract "C'
Administration Building



THE Government of Barbados proposes to award
contracts for the Expans on and Improvement
of the Port of Bridgetown (Deep Water Harbour)
which will partly be financed with a loan from the
Inter-American Development Bank.

2. The Project consists of three elements :
(a) expansion and improvement of the
existing Deep Water Harbour including
an extension of the main wharf, con-
struction of a transit (container) shed,
renovation and modification of an
existing transit shed and construction
of a two-storeyed Administration
Building;
(b) creation of a new Shallow Draft Facility
including the construction of a new 513'
long wharf and a new transit shed ;
(c) creation of a new Bulk Handling Facility
including the construction of an 80' x 77'
loading platform connected to land
with berthing/mooring dolphins and
mooring points on land.

3. It is expected that Contract "C" Adminis-
tration Building -will be let by October 1976 for
an estimated time of construction of about
15 months. Contract "C" will include the con-
construction of an Administration Building as
follows :-

(i) two-storeyed reinforced concrete or steel
frame structure ;

(ii) total floor area on two floors (Ground
Floor and First Floor) approximately
35,000 square feet, with main dimensions
175' ong by 100' wide ;


(iii) partitioning into offices,
and public areas ;
(iv) services to connections
include :


working areas

by others to


(a) potable water
(b) sanitary facilities
(c) power
(d) lighting
(e) telephone
(f) central air-conditioning for part of
the Building ;
(v) miscellaneous other related works.
4. In order to be considered for pre-qualification
contractors must be from one of the following
countries :-
(i) countries which are members of the
Inter-American Development Bank ;
(ii) relatively undeveloped countries which
are members of the International
Monetary Fund ; or
(iii) developed countries which have been
declared eligible by the Bank for this
purpose.

5. This Notice relates to Contract "C" only
which will be awarded as a single Contract based
on a combination of Unit Prices and Lump sums.
Applications are now invited from contractors
wishing to qualify for inclusion in the Register of
Contractors to be invited to tender for the contract.
Only contractors who pre-qualify will be invited
to tender.

6. Additional information on Contract "C"
and prequalification documents and questionnaires
will be provided upon receipt of applications
addressed to-

Bridgetown,
Barbados, West Indies.

7. All completed prequalification documents
and questionnaires should be returned to-

not later than 4.30 p.m. Barbados Time on
Wednesday 26th May, 1976.

8. All contractors will be notified in writing of
their success or failure to prequalify, and successful
contractors will be invited by July, 1976, to tender,

Notice is hereby given that a Session of the
High Court at Grenada in its Criminal Jurisdic-
tion will be held at the Court House in the town
of Saint George's on Tuesday the 1st day of
June, 1976 at 9.30 o'clock in the forenoon when
and where all concerned and bound over to
prosecute or to give evidence or summoned as
Jurors or Witnesses are required to give their


personal attendance, and all officers who have
taken inquisitions, depositions, examinations,
recognisances or other papers cognisable by the
Court are required to return the same without
delay to this office.
