Grenada Co-operative Nutmeg Association
Applications are invited for the post of Secre-
tary of the Grenada Co-operative Nutmeg
Association at a salary in the scale of $8,400.00 x
300-$9,600.00 per annum.
The principal responsibilities of the Secretary
will be conducting the correspondence of the
Association, keeping of Minutes, Registers and
Records, and assisting the Manager in administer-
ing the affairs of the Association in general.
Applicants should hold a degree in business
administration or have similar qualification and/
or experience.
Applications with resume and other references.
should be addressed in confidence to the Manager
of the Association and must reach him by
15th August, 1975.

and Culture.

which they arrangement for the forthcoming Festival of
Black and African Arts to be held in Lagos,
Nigeria later this year. Messrs. Gem Travel
examination Limited on Rickette Street, Bridgetown have been

In the matter of the Land Acquisition Ordinance
(Cap. 153)

It is hereby notified for general information that
in pursuance of the power vested in Him under
the land Acquisition Ordinance (Cap. 153) the
Governor-General acting in accordance with the
advice of the Cabinet has been pleased to appoint
Mr. Edmund Lessey to be the Authorised Officer
for the purpose of the acquisition of the lot of
land mentioned and described in the scheduled
hereto.

In the matter of the Land Acquisition Ordinance
(Cap. 153)

And

In the matter of a declaration by the Governor-
General that a lot of land situated at
Carriere in the Parish of Saint Andrew in
Grenada is to be acquired for a public
purpose.

WHEREAS it is provided in effect by section 3
of the Land Acquisition Ordinance (Cap. 153) of
the Revised Laws of Grenada that if the
Governor-General acting in accordance with the
advice of the Cabinet, considers that any land
should be acquired for a public purpose He may
cause a declaration to that effect to be made.

AND WHEREAS it is considered by the Gover-
nor-General acting as aforesaid that the land
mentioned and desfcibed m the schedule hereto
should be acquired for a public purpose, to wit,
for the construction of a reservoir for tie Pegg's
Whim Water project.

Now THEREFORE it is hereby declared by the
Governor-General acting in accordance with the
advice of the Cabinet of Grenada that upon the
second publication of this declaration in the
Gazette the land mentioned and described in the
schedule hereto shall be acquired for the above
mentioned purpose and shall vest absolutely in
the Crown.

AND IT Is HEREBY further declared and notified
that lands referred to is situated at Carriere m
the Parish of Saint Andrew in Grenada and is
about 1 Ac. 0 Rd. 34 pols. in area more or less,
and that a plan of the said lot may be inspected
at the Lands and Survey Office, St. George's
between the hours of 9.00 a.m. to 11.45 midday
and from 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. Monday to
Friday of each week.

SCHEDULE

the beneficiaries of the late WILLIAM QUARLESS.

late William Quarless, on the South by a Ceme-
tery on the East by the public road, on the West
by a ravine.

DECLARATION OF ACQUISITION OF LAND
WHEREAS it is provided in effect by Section 3
of the Land Acquisition Ordinance (Cap. 153) of


the Revised Laws of Grenada that if the Governor-
General acting in accordance with the advice of
the Cabinet considers that any land should be
acquired for a public purpose He may cause a.
declaration to that effect to be made.

AND WHEREAS it is considered by the Governor-
General acting as aforesaid said that the land
mentioned and described in the schedule hereto
should be acquired for a public purpose, to Wit,
for use as a playing field.

Now THEREFORE, it is hereby declared by the
Governor-General acting in accordance with the
advice of the Cabinet of Grenada that upon the
second publication of this declaration in the
Gazette, the land mentioned and described in the
schedule hereto shall be acquired for the above
mentioned purpose and shall vest absolutely in the
Crown.
