TREASURY BILLS-ISSUE NO. 9

Tenders are invited for the issue of Grenada
Government Treasury Bills which will be made in
the amount of $1,500.000.

These Bills will be in denominations of $1,000
and $50,000 and will be payable at par ninety-one
days after the date issue. They will be issued on
Wednesday, 25th June, 1975 and payable on
Tuesday, 23rd September, 1975.

Each Tender must be for an amount of not less
than $1,000 and must specify the amount which
will be given for every ONE HUNDRED
DOLLARS of the amount tendered.

Bills will be issued in denominations appropriate
to the amount requested in the tender.

Application forms are available at the
Treasury and, when completed, should be
forwarded to the Treasury in sealed envelopes

RELEASE
Exchange Control Restrictions

FOLLOWING the imposition by the United
Kingdom Goverintment since 1972 of Exchange
Controls against the former Scheduled Territories
and the termination by that Government of the
Sterling Guarantee Agreement at 31st December,
1974, the Government of Grenada has for some
time been giving consideration to the need for
tighter Exchange Control restrictions.
Government has, accordingly, decided that all
transactions relating to the purchase of any
currency for the purpose of remitting funds
abroad be subject to normal Exchange Control
procedures. Effective immediately, all applications
for the purchase of currencies for remittance
abroad should be submitted to the Ministry of
Finance, Trade and Industry on the prescribed
forms for prior approval. Such forms are avail-
able at the Ministry.

Professional Engineering Services for the
Ladyville Industrial Estate Project Belize,
Central America
SHE Government of Belize, through the Devel-
opment Finance Corporation, invites the
submission of prequalification data from interested
Consulting Engineering Firms in connection with
the Phase I development of an Industrial Estate at
Ladyville, Belize, Central America.
The scope of engineering works includes
engineering surveys, the preparation of appropriate
design drawings and specifications, as well as other
contract documents required for construction
tender of the Project, supervision and inspection
of construction, and issuance of payment certifi-
cates.
Phase I development covers an area of approxi-
mately 12 acres. A preliminary layout is available
and should form the basis of the proposed
development. The Project envisages the erection
of two small and one large factory buildings of
6,000 sq. ft. and 20,000 sq. ft. respectively; the
provision of utilities and sanitary facilities; access
roads; parking facilities; drainage and landscaping.
The total cost of the Project including en-
gineering fees is of the order of BZE $1,100,000.
Financing of the Project shall be undertaken by
the Government of Belize and the Caribbean
Development Bank utilizing USAID funds.
Consideration will be limited to Firms' or
'Joint Ventures' of firms whose regular place of
business is in one of the following territories: -
Antigua, Bahamas. Barbados, Belize, British
Virgin Islands, Canada, Columbia, Cayman
Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica,
Montserrat, St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla, St. Lucia,
St. Vincent, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos
Islands, United States of America, United King-
dom, and Venezuela. Prequalification information
submitted for consideration should emphasize
similar types of work performed and the location
thereof.
Consulting Engineering Firms, whether acting
singly or in Joint Ventures, should submit an
executed copy of a form which may be obtained
from the office of the General Manager, Develop-
ment Finance Corporation, P.O. Box 40, Belmo-
pan, Belize Central America, or from the
Caribbean Development Bank, P.O. Box 408,
Wildey, St. Michael, Barbados, W.I.
Prequalification information must be returned
to the office of the General Manager, Develop-
ment Finance Corporation, P.O. Box 40, Belmo-

7th July, 1975, with a copy being sent to the

THE Government of Belize through the Mark-
eting Board invites the submission of
pre-qualification data from interested Consulting
Engineering Firms in connection with the design
and supervision of construction of a Rice Mill and
ancillary facilities at Punta Gorda, Belize, C.A.
The scope of engineering works includes
engineering and hydrographic surveys the pre-
paration of appropriate design drawings and speci-
fications, as well as other contract documents
required for construction tender of the project,
supervision and inspection of construction and
issuance of payment certificates.
The project envisages the construction of silos,
buildings for rice milling plant and rice storage. In
addition, a pier is to be constructed to cater for
