GOVERNMENT OF MONTSERRAT
Prequalification of Contractors for the
Construction of a Deep Water Jetty and
Ro/Ro Berth in Plymouth Harbour

The Government of Montserrat expects to
invite tenders within the next few months from
prequalified Contractors for the construction of
the above Project, which will include: -
(i) A reinforced concrete piled jetty 180 feet
long and 40 feet wide with a depth at the
outer face of 24 feet below low water.
(ii) A reinforced concrete piled approach to
the jetty, 180 feet long by 24 feet wide.
(iii) A Ro/Ro ramp and two berthing dolphins.
Consideration will be limited to firms or joint
ventures whose regular place of business is in the
West Indies or the United Kingdom.

Caribbean Community Secretariat

Vacancy for Chief, Commodities Section

A vacancy exists at the Caribbean Community
Secretariat for a Chief, Commodities Section with
salary and house allowance at the rates of

2. Duties
The successful candidate will be imme-
diately responsible to the Director, Trade and
Integration Division and his principal duties
will be to advise and assist on all matters relating
to the formation, implementation and co-ordina-
tion of regional governmental action affecting the
development of regional major export commodities
and operation and evaluation of intra-regional and
extra-regional commodity agreements.
3. Qualifications
(i) At least a good honours degree in
Economics, Commerce, International
Marketing or other related fields but
possession of a graduate degree would
be an advantage;
(ii) work experience in international com-
mercial activities (private or, public
sector) and knowledge of and interest
in *the Region's major agricultural
export commodities would be a
positive asset.

NOTICE

CARIBBEAN METEOROLOGICAL
INSTITUTE


Vacancy: Agrometeorologist

Applications are invited from suitably qualified
persons for the post of Agrometeorologist at the
Caribbean Meteorological Institute in Barbados.
Duties
As Head of the Agrometeorological Section,
the Agrometeorologist will plan, direct and parti-
cipate in the execution of its research and inves-
tigational work in collaboration when relevant
with other institutions and in particular with
other Caribbean regional agricultural bodies, and
with national agricultural and meteorological
services. In this connection the Institution also
has complementary sections in climatology,
hydrometeorology, instrument maintenance and
meteorology. Other duties include the training of
agrometeorological personnel, visiting agrome-
teorological stations Swithin the Caribbean, and
advising Governments on relevant matters.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a graduate degree of at
least master's level in agrometeorology or alter-
natively in an agricultural science, preferably in
agronomy, and should have several years field
research experience preferably in tropical (Carib-
bean) agrometeorology or agriculture.
Appointment
The successful applicant will be appointed to an
Academic Post at the level of Lecturer/Senior
Lecturer and with conditions of service similar to
those of the University of the West Indies. Current
salary scales are:1
Lecturer-BDS $13,200-17,052 (Bar)-20,904
per annum
Senior Lecturer-BDS $18,108-24,498 (Bar)-
26,730 per annum.

FOR THE INCORPORATION OF A BODY TO BE KNOWN AS THE INCORPORATED TRUSTEES OF THE GRENADA
UNITED SPIRITUAL BAPTIST CHURCH IN GRENADA.

1. Public Notice is hereby given in accordance with Standing Order 45 (3) (a) (b) of the
Standing Orders of the House of Representatives that it is intended to introduce into the House of
Representatives the abovementioned Bill.
2. Notice of the intended introduction of the Bill is being given in the Grenada Government
Gazette, and copies of the Bill may be purchased from the Government Printer.
3. The object of this Bill among other things is to incorporate a body to be known as the
Incorporated Trustees of the Grenada United Spiritpal Baptist Church in Grenada in order to
enable them to hold property and otherwise to carry out the aims and objects of the Church.
4. Any person wishing to be heard in opposition to the Bill must lodge with the Clerk of the
House of Representatives a petition showing the nature of his objections to the Bill and stating
whether his objections extend to the whole or some part of the preamble or to the clauses of the Bill
and praying that he may be heard by himself or his Counsel against the Bill.

AN Act to provide the incoporation of a body to be
known as the Incorporated Trustees of the Grenada
United Spiritual Baptist Church in Grenada.
Preambi. W HEREAS there has been established in Grenada a
VT religious organisation known as The Grenada
United Spiritual Baptiste Church (hereinafter called
the Organisation) which is associated with and subject
to the control of the Council in Grenada comprising of
an Advisory Board and an Executive Board and which
is representative of the members of the Grenada United
Spiritual Baptist Church in Grenada.

AND WHEREAS the Leader Norton Strachan,
Mother Adina Noel, Brother Edward M. Clyne, Leader
Harbin Williams and Pastor Lionel Andrew have been
elected Trustees of the Organisation by the said
Grenada United Spiritual Baptist Church:
AND WHEREAS the Trustees so elected have been
requested and they have agreed to accept the Office of
Trustees of the Organisation and to hold properties for
any of the uses and purposes of the Grenada United
Spiritual Baptiste Church.

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the Trustees
for the time being of the said Organisation should have
powers to hold lands and other property in trust for the
Grenada United Spiritual Baptist Church:

BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Queen's Enactment.
Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Senate and House of Representatives of
Grenada and by authority of the same as follows:-

1. This Act may be cited as

THE GRENADA UNITED SPIRITUAL BAPTIST
CHURCH INCORPORATED ACT, 1975.

2. The said Leader Norton Strachan of Woburn, Incorpora-
St. George's, Mother Adina Noel of Belle Vue South, tion of
Carriacou, Brother Edward M. Clyne of Marlmount, rtes.
David's, Leader Harbin Williams of Corinth, St.
St. David's, and Pastor Lionel Andrew of Telescope
St. Andrew's and their successors in Office as Trustees
of the Grenada United Spiritual Baptist Church shall
be and are hereby created a body incorporated under
the name of "The Incorporated Trustees of the Grenada
United Spiritual Baptist Church" (hereinafter called
"The Trustees") and by that name shall have perpetual
succession and also by that name shall sue and be sued
and shall have a common seal with power to change
such seal.

3. All churches, chapels, mission houses, rectories, property. of
vicarages, parsonages, glebes, buildings and lands which
may be acquired or appropriated to the uses of the
Grenada United Spiritual Baptist Church shall be vested
in the Trustees.
4. Subject to the rules, regulations and control of the Trustees
Grenada United. Spiritual Baptist Church the Trustees acquire

Spiritual Baptist Church by gift, grant, purchase, devise
or otherwise any lands, buildings, messuages and
hereditaments of what nature or kind whatsoever in
perpetuity or for life or lives or for a term of years and
also any moneys, goods and chattels aforesaid, and to
be performance of any trust upon which the said lands,
buildings, messuages, hereditaments, moneys, goods
and chattels may have been acquired to take, hold and
enjoy the same.

OBJECTS AND REASONS


The object of this Bill is to provide for the incorporation of a body to be
