'The Government of Grenada has approved the
grant of a scholarship in the field of Law to a
young woman in honour of International Women's
Year 1975.

Suitably qualified candidates between the ages
of 17 and 25 years are asked to apply in writing
to the Permanent Secretary, Planning, Develop-
ment and Training, Prime Minister's Office not
later 21st April, 1975. Applicants should state
clearly name, address, date of birth, schools
attended and educational attainments.

The holder of this scholarship will be expected
to spec alise in the field of International Relations.

I GEORGE CONSTANTINE KNIGHTS
heretofore called and known by the name of
George Constantine Charles of Golf Course Road
in the Parisn of Saint George in Grenada hereby
give notice that on the 11th day of March, 1975
I formally and absolutely renounced relinguished
and abandoned the use of my said surname of
Charles and then assumed and adopted a-:d
determined thenceforth on all occasions whatso-
ever to use and subscribe the name of George
Constantine Knights instead of the said name of
George Constantine Charles. AND I give further
notice that by a deed poll dated the 11th day of
March 1975 duly executed and recorded in the
Deeds and Land Registry of Grenada on the
Thirteenth day of March 1975 I formally and
absolutely renounced and abandoned the said
surname of Charles and declared that I had
assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth
upon all occasions whatsoever to use and sub-
scribe the name of George Constantine Knights
instead of George Constantine Charles and so as
to be at all times thereafter called known and
described by the name of George Constantine
Knights exclusively.

IMPORT RESTRICTIONS

In order to encourage the production of locally
grown commodities, the processing of such com-
modities and a guaranteed market, government
has decided that there should be further restric-
tions in the importation of certain commodities.

In exercise therefore of the power conferred on
him by Section 2 (ii) of the Supplies (Control)
Regulations, S. R. & 0. No. 12 of 1959, the Con-
troller of Supplies hereby gives notice that the
following items have been added to the list of
commodities for which an import licence is
required: -

relating to Plant and Animal Protection, Dan-
gerous Drugs or any other law of the State
whatsoever. Nor is this publication to be con-
:strued as authorising the importation of goods,
the entry of which is prohibited or restricted by
any law, regulation or order of the State at
present in force.

EAST CARIBBEAN CURRENCY
AUTHORITY
Vacant Post
of
Deputy Manager, Currency

APPLICATIONS are invited from suitably
qualified persons for appointment to the post
of Deputy Manager, Currency.
Duties:
The Deputy Manager, Currency who will be
responsible to the Manager, Currency, will be
required:
(a) To assist the Manager, Currency in the
administration of the Currency Division
and to deputize in his absence;
(b) To supervise generally the work of the
Assistant Managers in the Currency
Division, and to report from time to time
on their performance;
(c) To keep under review all security
operations and arrangements of the
Currency Division and to liaise with the
Manager, Currency on these matters;
(d) To undertake such other duties as may
be assigned by the Manager, Currency/
Managing Director.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have had at least five (5) years
experience of administration in a senior post in
the public or private sector. Experience and/or
training in currency operations would be an asset.
Salary:
Salary of the post is in the scale EC $9,840+
3 x 360-$10,920. The point of entry in the scale
will depend on qualifications, training and
experience.
House Alowance:
A house allowance at the rate of $3,000 per
annum will be payable during the period that the
Headquarters of the Authority remain in Barba-
dos.
Leave:
24 working days (including Saturdays exclud-
ing Bank Holidays) leave per calendar year.
Passages:
The Authority will meet the cost of passages to
Barbados or St Kitts and will be prepared to
defray any reasonable expenses made in respect
of the cost of transportation to Barbados or St.
Kitts of personal and household effects.
Income Tax:
Staff employed by the Authority at its Head-
quarters in Barbados are exempted from the
payment of income tax.
Pension Contribution:
In the case where a successful applicant is a
public officer who has been seconded by a
participating Government to the Service of the
Authority, a pension contribution will be paid by
the Authority to the Government. The Authority
maintains a Pension Scheme and a Group Medical
Insurance Plan for the benefit of its staff.

Assistant Accountant (2)
Assistant Manager Currency

Applications are invited from suitably qualified
persons for appointment to the Posts of Assistant
Accountant (Finance and Supplies), Assistant
Accountant (Currency and Internal Audit) and
Assistant Manager, Currency.
Duties
Assistant Accountants: The Assistant Account-
ants will be responsible to the Accountant. One
will be required to perform the duties of Finance
and Supplies Officer and the other duties of an
Internal Audit and Currency Officer.
Assistant Manager, Currency: The Assistant
Manager who will be directly responsible to the
Deputy Manager, Currency, will be required to
perform various currency and supervisory duties
in the Currency Division of the Authority.
Qualifications
Assistant Accountants: Applicants must have
had at least five (5) years experience in Banking
and/or accounting. Successful completion of
Part 1 of the A.I.E. or parts 11 and 111 of the
A.C.C.A, examinations would be an asset,
Assistant Manager: Applicants must have had
at least five (5) years experience at middle
management level in the public or private sector.
Salary
The salary of the post in in the scale $8,268 x
3 x 300-$9,168. The point of entry in the scale
would depend on qualifications, training and
experience.
House Allowance

annum will be payable during the period when
the Headquarters of the Authority remain in
Barbados.

Duties
(1) The Senior Economist who will be respon-
sible to the Manager, Research, will be

(a) To establish a balance of payments
unit within the Research Division and
to prepare balance of payments data
for the participating territories;
(b) To keep under constant scrutiny trade
figures and cost of living indices of the
participating territories and to main-
tain close liaison with the Statistical
and Planning Units of each territory;
(c) To monitor regional and international
monetary developments and maintain
dossiers on the Caricom area and the
main trading blocks and financial
centres;
(d) To undertake such other duties as may
be assigned by the Manager Research/
Managing Director.

PRIVATE BILL

FOR THE INCORPORATION OF A BODY TO BE KNOWN AS THE INCORPORATED TRUSTEES OF THE GRENADA
UNITED SPIRITUAL BAPTIST CHURCH IN GRENADA.

1. Public Notice is hereby given in accordance with Standing Order 45 (3) (a) (b) of the
Standing Orders of the House of Representatives that it is intended to introduce into the House of
Representatives the abovementioned Bill.
2. Notice of the intended introduction of the Bill is being given in the Grenada Government
Gazette, and copies of the Bill may be purchased from the Government Printer.
3. The object of this Bill among other things is to incorporate a body to be known as the
Incorporated Trustees of the Grenada United Spiritual Baptist Church in Grenada in order to
enable them to hold property and otherwise to carry out the aims and objects of the Church.
4. Any person wishing to be heard in opposition to the Bill must lodge with the Clerk of the
House of Representatives a petition showing the nature of his objections to the Bill and stating
whether his objections extend to the whole or some part of the preamble or to the clauses of the Bill
and praying that he may be heard by himself or his Counsel against the Bill.

AN Act to provide the incoporation of a body to be

United Spiritual Baptist Church in Grenada.
W HEREAS there has been established in Grenada a Preamble.
religious organisation known as The Grenada
United Spiritual Baptiste Church (hereinafter called
the Organisation) which is associated with and subject
to the control of the Council in Grenada comprising of
an Advisory Board and an Executive Board and which
is representative of the members of the Grenada United
Spiritual Baptist Church in Grenada.

AND WHEREAS the Leader Norton Strachan,
Mother Adina Noel, Brother Edward M. Clyne, Leader
Harbin Williams and Pastor Lionel Andrew have been
elected Trustees of the Organisation by the said
Grenada United Spiritual Baptist Church:
AND WHEREAS the Trustees so elected have been
requested and they have agreed to accept the Office of
Trustees of the Organisation and to hold properties for
any of the uses and purposes of the Grenada United
Spiritual Baptiste Church.

AND WHEREAS' it is expedient that the Trustees
for the time being of the said Organisation should have
powers to hold lands and other property in trust for the
Grenada United Spiritual Baptist Church:
Enactment. BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Queen's
Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Senate and House of Representatives of
Grenada and by authority of the same as follows:-
Short title. 1. This Act may be cited as

or otherwise any lands, buildings, messuages and
hereditaments of what nature or Kind whatsoever in
perpetuity or for life or lives or for a term of years and
also any moneys, goods and chattels aforesaid, and to
be performance of any trust upon which the said lands,
buildings, messuages, hereditaments, moneys, goods
and chattels may have been acquired to take, hold and
enjoy the same.

5. Subject to the rules, regulations and control afore- Trustees may
