at tne Court House, St. George's on Friday the
llth April, 1975 at 9.00 o'ciock in the forenoon
for the purpose of rearing objections to, and
appeals from, the assessments made by the tax
Officer under the Taxes Management Ordinance.

for the extension of the Poyntzfield Housing
Settlement.

Governor-General acting in accordance with the
advice of the Cabinet of the State of Grenada
that upon the Second Publication of this decla-
ration in the Gazette the land mentioned and
described in the Schedule hereto shall be ac-

shall vest absolutely in the Crown.

UNITED SPIRITUAL BAPTIST CHURCH IN GRENADA

1. Public Notice is hereby given in accordance with Standing Order 45 (3) (a) (b) of the
Standing Orders of the House of Representatives that it is intended to introduce into the House of
Representatives the abovementioned Bill.

2. Notice of the intended introduction of the Bill is being given in the Grenada Government
Gazette, and copies of the Bill may be purchased from the Government Printer.

3. The object of this Bill among other things it to incorpo-ate a b-dy to be known as the
Incorporated Trustees of the Grenada United Spiritual Baptist Church in Grenada in order to
enable them to hold property and otherwise to ca:ry oat tie aims ana objects of the Church.

4. Any person wishing to be heard in opposition to the B1ll must lodge wiih the Clerk of the

ACT NO. OF 1975.

BILL

for

AN Act to provide for the incorporation of a body
to be known as the Incorporated Trustees of The
First Church of Christ, Scientist.

WHEREAS there has been established in Grenada a
religious Organisation known as the First Church of
Christ, Scientist (hereinafter called the Organisation)
which is associated with and subject to the control of
THE MOTHER CHURCH OF THE FIRST CHURCH OF
CHRIST, SCIENTIST in the City of Boston, in the State of
Massachusetts, in the United States of America.

AND WHEREAS the organisation is desirous of being
incorporated in Grenada and Lydia Lalbeharrisingh of
Grenville in the Parish of Saint Andrew in Grenada,
Erma Rougier of Crochu in the said Parish of Saint
Andrew, Joyce Lyder of the said Parish of Saint
Andrew, William S. Dunn of the Parish of Saint
George in Grenada and Patricia White of Belmont in
the Parish of Saint George aforesaid have been asked
and are willing to serve as Trustees of the Organisa-
tion and to hold property for any of the uses or
purposes of the Organisation in Grenada.

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the Trustees for
the time being should be incorporated and should have
power to hold lands and other property in trust for the
Organisation.

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of Grenada as
follows :-

1. This Act may be cited as
THE FIRST CHURCH OF CHRIST, SCIENTIST
INCORPORATION ACT, 1975

incorpora- 2. The said Lydia Lalbeharrisingh, Erma Rouger,
Trustees. Joyce Lyder, William S. Dunn and Patricia White and
their successors in office as Trustees of the Church of
Christ shall be and are hereby created a body corporate
under the name of "The incorporated Trustees of The
First Church of Christ Scientist" (hereinafter called
"The Trustees") and by that name shall have perpetual
succession and also by that name shall and may sue
and be sued in all Court of Justice in Grenada and shall
have and use a Common Seal which may from time to
time be changed altered or made anew.
Trustees 3. Trustees shall have full power to acquire for the

Property. Organisation by purchase, transfer, exchange, devise,
demise, grant, gift, bequest or otherwise, all lands or
other property of whatsoever nature or kind in per-
petuity or for life or lives or for any term of years, and
also any money, securities for money, goods or chattels
whatsoever, and to take hold and enjoy the same and
subject also to the performance of any trust upon
which the said lands or other property, money,
securities for money, goods or chattels may have been
acquired.
Trustees may 4. It shall be lawful for the Trustees, subject to the

time by deed under the Common Seal of the Organisa-
tion, to sell or demise, grant, convey, transfer,
exchange, surrender or otherwise dispose of any lands
or other property vested or which may hereafter be
vested in them.
Trustees 5. It shall be lawful for the Trustees subject to the

mortgages. ,money, and for the payment of the same, by deed
under the Common Seal of the Organisation, to give
and execute mortgages, charges, pledges or other securi-
,ties of their real or personal property or to make any
such arrangement as they may consider convenient,
with such covenants, powers and provisions as they may
think proper.
Execution of 6. All deeds and other documents which should be
deeds and
other executed under seal shall be sealed with the Common

of the Trustees who shall sien every deed or other ducu-
ment to which the said seal is affixed and such signing
shall be prima facie evidence that the said seal was duly

and properly affixed and that the same is the lawful seal
of the Organisation.
7. The Trustees shall at all times have a fixed address Address for
