NOTICE
In the Estate of Gwendoline Bertrand, Deceased

)URSUANT to the Trustee Ordinance Chapter
300 of the Revised Laws of Grenada
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that all creditors and
others having any claims against or claiming to be
beneficially interested in the Estate of Gwendoline
Bertrand late of Church Street in the town of
Saint George in the island of Grenada who died
on the 21st day of November, 1973 and Letters
of Administration to whose estate with a Will
annexed were granted on the 3rd day of January,
1975 by the West Indies Associated States Sup-
reme Court (High Court of Justice) to Royal
Bank Trust Company (Barbados) Limited are
hereby required to send particulars thereof in


writing to the undersigned Solicitors on or before
the 14th day of March, 1975, after which date the
said Administrator will proceed to distribute the
assets of the deceased among the persons entitled
thereto having regard only to the claims of which
it shall then have had notice, and will not be
liable for the assets of the deceased or any part
thereof so distributed to any person or persons of
whose claims or demands it shall not then have
had notice.

manufacturers for the supply of steel frames and
roof sheeting for three (3) Industrial Buildings on
the Vieux Fort Industrial Estate, St. Lucia, West
Indies.

The buildings will be of 50 feet clear span and
multiules of 20 feet bents to cover areas of
6,000 ft., 10,000 ft., and 20,000 ft. respectively.

NOTICE
Details of Post of
Senior Industrial Engineer

Applications are invited from suitably qualified
persons for the post of Senior Industrial Engineer
in the Caribbean Community Secretariat.
Duties
2. The duties of the post are to:
(i) Identify, outline and develop project
profiles making for the greatest degree
of processing within the Region
particularly those projects making
maximum use of regional raw
materials;
(ii) Examine and advise on the technical
aspects of the preparation and imple-
mentation of projects including:
(a) the selection of plant and equip-
ment;
(b) the evaluation and adaptation of
alternative processes to suit local
conditions and raw material
inputs;
(iii) Conduct and assist in the undertaking
of industrial surveys and feasibility
studies ;
(iv) Undertake such other duties as may be
assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
3. The qualifications for the post are:
(i) An Honours Deg.ee in Engineering,
preferably in the industrial or Chemi-
cal field;
(ii) Post-graduate training in Economics,
Business Management or Industrial
Engineering.
Working experience in the field would be a
distinct advantage.
Salary and Allowances
4. The salary of the post is in the salary scale
G. $1,139.25 x $54.25-$1,356.25 a month. In
editionn, the holder will be paid a house allowance
of G. $271.25 a month.
Recruitment and Appointment
5. Appointment may be on a permanent basis
with the Caribbean Community Secretariat or on
secondment from the Public Service of a Member
State. It will be subject to such regulations, rules,
orders and insiru-tions as may exist and as may
be introduced from time to time in respect of
services with the Secretariat.

8. A settlement grant will also be pa'd to the
successful candidate recruited from abroad in
respect of himself and family when he/they
actually take up residence in Guyana.

Leave Facilities
9. The successful candidate will be eligible for
the grant of vacation leave at the rate of thirty-five
working days per annum and a leave passage grant
in respect of himself and his family.

Privileges and Immunities
10. The successful candidate will be granted the
privileges and immunities normally extended to
members of the diplomatic corps. It has also been
agreed that staff members of tne Secretariat will
not pay income tax to the Government of Guyana
or in the case of staff recruited from Member
States to their home Governments.

Superannuation Benefits
11. The successful candidate, if permanently
appointed, will be required to contribute 5 percent
of his salary to the Secretariat's pension scheme.
Where appointment is on secondment, the Secre-
tariat will pay to the staff member's employer a
contribution not exceeding 25 percent of the pen-
sionable salary normally payable to the staff
member by that employer during the period of
his secondment so as to maintain his superannua-
tion benefits.

General, Caribbean Community Secretariat, Third

Guyana not later than 22nd February, 1975.
