Wedding of Princess Anne
t IHE public is hereby notified that a Special
I Issue of Stamps to commemorate the Wedding
of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillip will
be released at the General Post Office, St. George's
on Wednesday 14th November, 1973.
Denominations are 25o and $2.00 Souvenir
Sheets at $1.75 will be available.
These Stamps will be on sale for a period of
three months from the date of issue or until stocks
are exhausted whichever is sooner.

Price Control Regulations to remove the grades
large and small (eggs) from control, and that

VACANCIES IN GRENADA COAST GUARD


PPLICATIONS are invited from suitably
qualified persons to fill a number of
vacancies which exist in the Grenada Coast
Guard or Marine Branch of the Royal Grenada
Police Force.
Applicants should possess the following mini-
mum qualifications:
Primary School Leaving Certificate and tao
(2) passes at Ordinary level in the -General
Certificate of Education.

previous experience as seamen.

Management Appointment

TpHE Caribbean Investment Corporation intends
Sto appoint a General Manager to be respon-
sible to the Board of Directors for the
administration and execution of its policy.
The Caribbean Investment Corporation was
established as a special instrument to assist in the
industrial development of the less developed
countries of the Commonwealth Caribbean. It
was chartered by Inter-Governmental agreement
among member countries of the Caribbean Free
Trade Association and will act as a venture
capital Corporation investing in the equity capital
of enterprises located in the less developed
countries of the area and will complement loan
capital facilities.
The Headquarters of the Corporation will be
established in St. Lucia.
Candidates for the post of General Manager
should be nationals of the Commonwealth Carib-
bean -nd have practical experience in major
development project planning, development
banking, or commercial banking practice
associated with development planning.
It is desirable that such experience should be
supported by training at University level or its
equivalent.
The appointment will be on contract for a term
of three years. Tax free emoluments will be
$24,000 p.a. and conditions of service will include
21% gratuity; housing, car and entertainment
allowances: and 30 working days vacation leave
p.a.
Applications with resume of curriculum vitae
and the names of two referees in each case should

THE Examinations are scheduled to take place
during the period Monday, 3rd June, to
Friday, 28th June, 1974, except in respect of the
following, which will be held before 3rd June,
and for which the dates and times will be noti-
fied in due course:-
Music Aural Tests;
Oral Tests in Modern Languages;
Practical Test in Cookery;
Practical Tests in Metalwork & Woodwork.
Examinations Fees must be paid into the
Treasury on or before Monday, 31st December,


1973, as follows:--

(1) For each subject offered at the Ordinary

The completed Form of Entry must in every
case be accompanied by the Treasury Receipts
as evidence of payment of the Fees.
Entries for Cookery, Needlework and Dress-
making, Music, and Science subjects cannot be
accepted unless satisfactory arrangements are
made beforehand for Practical Tests.
A fee of $2 is payable by each candidate for
each Oral Test direct to the Oral Examiner.
A new system of Entry documentation was
introduced in June, 1973. A single Entry Form for
School candidates (Form E.C. 1), printed as a
two-part carbonised set, has replaced the former
red and green G.C.E. school Entry Forms, each
candidate using one index number for entries at A,
AO, and O-Levels, the index number being shown
once instead of twice as at present. Form E.C. 2
has replaced the former entry form for Private
Candidates.
O-Level (0) 558, Human and Social Biology.
replaces the former (0) 760, Health Science. This
Examination may not be taken by candidates
offering Biology or additional General Science.

VACANT POST OF CIWIL ENGINEERS

PPLICATIONS are invited from suitably
qualified persons for appointment to four (4)
posts of Engineer, Ministry of Communications
_-nd Works, Grenada.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a degree or diploma
in Civil Engineering from an accredited College
or University with training and experience in the
Design and Construction of either Road or Water/
Sewerage Projects. Preference will be given to
Applicants with not less than 3-5 years experience.
Duties:
Des gn, and supervision of construction of
eit.ier Road or Water Supply/Sewerage Projects.
Appointment:
The appointment will be either
(a) on a permanent and pensionable basis
and subject to medical fitness, and a proba-
tionary period not exceeding two years, or
(b) on a contract basis.
Emoluments:
The salary of the post ;s negotiable, and there
are provisions for Vacation and Sick Leave.

MEMORANDUM

r[IHE Hague Convention on the Service Abroad
I of Judicial and Extra-Judicial Documents in
Civil and Commercial matters of 15 November,
1965.
1. With reference to earlier correspondence on
this subject, you will wish to know that:
(i) in accordance with paragraph 1 of Article
28 of the Convention the Republic of
Malawi deposited an instrument of
accession on 24 April, 1972 with the Min-
istry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands
who notified the States that had ratified
the Convention. As no objections were
raised within the period of six months
specified in paragraph 2 of Article 28, the
accession became perfect on 25 November,
1972; and
(ii) the Government of Malawi have designated
the Registrar of the High Court of Malawi
as the Central Authority in accordance
with Article 2 of the Convention. The
address of the Registrar is: P.O. Box
30244, Chichiri, Blantyre 3, Malawi.
2. This circular is addressed to all Governors
and the High Commissioner for the Western.
Pacific. Copies are being sent to the High Com-
missioner, Bahamas, for the Turks and Caigos
islands and for information to the British

Assistant Manager, Research. The person appoint-
ed to this post w.ll be required to serve with the
Authority at its current headquarters and would
be required to undertake to remain in the service
of the Authority when the headquarters are
transferred to St. Kitts.

Qualifications:
A first degree in Economics, preferably with
major in Monetary Economics or Statistics, is
essential. Research experience or training will be
an asset.

Salary:
Salary of the post is in the scale EC $8,268 + 3 x
300-$9,168. The point of entry in the scale would
depend on qualifications, training and experience.

Allowances:
A house allowance at the rate of $1,500 per
annum and a travelling allowance will be payable
during the period that the headquarters of the
Authority remain in Barbados, provided that the
successful applicant is not a national of Barbados.

Leave:
Twenty-four working days including Saturdays
excluding Bank Holidays) leave per calendar year.

Passages:
The Authority will meet the cost of passages to
Barbados and will be prepared to reimburse an
officer any reasonable claim made in respect of
the cost of the transportation to Barbados of
personal and household effects.

Pension Contribution:
In the case where a successful applicant is a
public officer who has been seconded by a partici-
pating Government to the service of the Authority
a pension contribution will be paid by the
Authority of the participating Government.

Barbados Income Tax:

for work involving repetitive operations and
should have had working experience involving
the checking of currency. Priority will be given to
mature persons who have had at least ten years
working experience.

depend on qualifications, training and experience.

Allowances:
A house allowance at the rate of $1,500 per
annum and a travelling allowance will be payable

Qualifications:
Applicants should preferably have Advanced
Level Mathematics and G.C.E. in at least three
otner subjects. Working experience in the com-
pilation and tabulation of statistics would be an
asset.

Salary:
Salary of the post is in the scale EC $6,000+3x
300-$6,900. The point of entry in the scale would
depend .on qualifications, training and experience.

Allowances:
A house allowance at the rate of $1,500 per
annum and a travelling allowance will be payable
during the period that the headquarters of the
Authority remain in Barbados, provided that the
successful applicant is not a national of Barbados.
