In the Matter of the Land Acquisition Ordinance
(Cap. 153)
(FIRST PUBLICATION)


T is hereby notified for general information
that in pursuance of the powers vested in
Her under the Land Acquisition Ordinance
(Cap. 153), the Governor acting in accordance
with the advice of the Cabinet of the State of
Grenada has been pleased to appoint Mr.
Raymond Millet to be the Authorised Officer for
the purpose of the acquisition of the land men-
tioned and described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
All that lot, piece or parcel of land containing
by estimation 30 acres more or less being a por-
tion of Grand Anse Estates Limited situate at
Grand Anse in the parish of St. George and
believed to be owned by or under the control of
the beneficiaries of the estate of the late S. A.
Francis. A public road passes through the said
lot of land and is bounded on the north by other
lands of Grand Anse Estates Limited, on the
south by lands of the said estate part of which is
leased to the Government of Grenada as an
Agricultural experimental plot; on the East by
lands of Ethelbert Anthony, Joseph Thomas and
Bestley Bell and on the west by other lands of the
Grand Anse Estates Limited.

HEREAS it is provided inter alia by Section
3 of the Land Acquisition Ordinance (Cap.
153) of the Revised Laws of Grenada that
if the Governor acting in accordance with the
advice of the Cabinet considers that any land
should be acquired for a public purpose She may
cause a declaration to that effect to be made:
Now, THEREFORE, it is considered by the
Governor acting as aforesaid that the lot of land
mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto


should be acquired for a public purpose, to wit,
for the purpose of establishing a housing settle-
ment, subsidiary gardening and an industrial
centre.

TREASURY BILLS-ISSUE No. 2


TENDERS are invited for the issue of Grenada
Government Treasury Bills which will be
made to the amount of $1,000,000.
These Bills will be made in denominations of
$500, $1,000, $5,000, $10,000 and $50,000 and will
be payable at par ninety-one days after the date of
issue.
They will be issued on Thursday, 27th Septem-
ber, 1973, and payable on Wednesday, 26th
December, 1973.
Each tender must be for an amount of not less
than $1,000 and must specify the amount which
ovill be given for every ONE HUNDRED
DOLLARS of the amount tendered.
Bills will be issued in denominations appropri-
ate to the amount requested in the tender.
Applications forms are available at the Treasury
and when completed, should be forwarded to the
Treasury in sealed envelopes addressed: -

All applications must reach the Treasury not
later than 11.00 a.m. on Saturday, 22nd Septem-

Rules

mitting the entry.
5. The deadline for submission of the scripts
will be 1st October, 1973.
6. The length of the Essay should not exceed
4,000 words.
