Applicants should not be less than 17 years
of age and not more than 23 and should possess
passes in the G.C.E. Examination in at least
English, Mathematics and/or Physics.

The ability to speak clearly and concisely,
mental altertness and a genuine interest in
Meteorological and Air Traffic Control work are
desirable qualities.

Successful applicants would be required to
undergo training at the Meteorological Institute
at Barbados and at the Air Traffic Control School
at Trinidad.

The posts which are pensionable, carry a
salary in the scale $2544 x 120-3624/3744 x
120-3984/ x 180-4164. On the successful
completion of the Air Traffic Control Course,
candidates would be eligible for appointment as
Air Traffic Control Officers in the scale H. T1
$5424 x 180-5964 x 216-6396.

St. George's to reach him by 30th December,
1972.

Entries for Cookery, Needlework and Dress-
making, Music, and Science subjects cannot be
accepted unless satisfactory arrangements are
made beforehand for Practical Tests.

A fee of $2 is payable by each candidate for
each Oral Test direct to the Oral Examiner.

A new system of Entry documentation has
been introduced for the G.C.E. Examinations in
June 1973. A single Entry Form for Schools
candidates (Form E.C. 1), printed as a two part
carbonised set, will replace the former red and
green G.C.E. school Entry Forms, each candi-
dqte using one index number for entries at A, AO,
and O levels, the index number being shown once
instead of twice as at present. A Private Candi-
date's form (Form E.C. 2) will replace the former
entry form for Private Candidates.
All papers will be set in Metric Units for
Woodwork, Metalwork, Geometrical and Mech.
Drawing, and Surveying.
Private Candidates, who are taking the G.C.E.
Examinations for the first time, must satisfy the
Local Secretary that they are eligible to sit, by
producing evidence that they have passed the
Onalifving Test, as determined by the Chief
Education Officer.

NOTICE

rpHE attention of all importers is drawn to the
1 requirements of Regulation 3 of the Customs
Regulations, SRO. 17 of 1961, which states that all
persons submitting any forms to the Customs must
complete such forms by writing thereon all the
particulars indicated tLhe:-on or required thereby
as y ell as all other partic lars specifically required
by the Customs Laws or by the Comptroller or
any other Customs Officer.

2. Regulation 10 of SRO 51 of the 1958 Laws
requires that goods from the Scheduled Territories
shall not be entered on entries with goods from
other territories. This regulation has not been
strictly enforced in the past, but must now be
observed.

3. Goods liable to pay duty at a specific rate
,on fixed quantities must not be entered on entries
with goods liable to Ad Valorem duties. Entries
must not have more than six items written thereon.

4. All the statistical data required on Customs
forms must be inserted, including inter alia values
.and quantities for each iem shown on the form.
On no account must values or quantities be
aggregated. Any values expressed in foreign
,currency must be converted into Eastern Carib-
bean Currency and all values must be accurate.

5. All copies of any form submitted to Cus-
toms must be clearly legible.

6. Regulation 6 of the Customs Regulation
states that officers may refuse to accept or act
.upon any form or document unless the require-
ments of the Customs Laws or Regulations in
relation thereto have been duly observed.

All entries which do not conform to the require-
ments of this notice will not be processed.

7. These requirements will be enforced not
.later than 1st December, 1972.

T is hereby notified that NELSON J. WESTBURY,
a citizen of the United States of America has
apphed for the registration of a patent for an
invention, the title of which is "CREDIT AND
OTHER SECURITY CARDS AND CARD
UTILIZATION SYSTEM THEREFORE .

The invention is generally concerned with
Credit and other Security Cards and with the
Utilization System for such Cards.

In a major aspect the invention is concerned
more particularly but not exclusively, with a
system and a method for the verification of a
credit card by comparing features of the card-
holder's voice with an utterance-cipher recorded
on the credit card.

The application has been referred to the
Honourable Tne Attorney-General for a report
thereon.

respective District Revenue Offices, and then
approach the Inspector of the Motor Vehicles at
the Traffic Branch, Fire Station, in advance with
a view to affecting any alterations that may be
necessary to comply with the provisions of the
Mftor-Vehicles and Road Traffic Ordinance, and
of the Regulations made thereunder.
Vehicles must be presented in a throughly clean
condition, and must have been recently over-
hauled. The body and wings, axle, chassis frame,
steering arms, springs, trackrods, brake connec-
tions, shackles, bolts, nuts, splitpins, engine,
engine shield and case, clutch, gearbox, magneto,
or coil, air filter, carburettor and all working
parts must be cleaned in order to admit a proper
examination. Dust covers, if used must be
removed before presentation in order to admit of
an examination being made in full. All split
pins, etc., must be clearly exposed, also chassis
and engine numbers. Drivers' seats must be
securely fastened so that the dirver can have
proper-control over the vehicle. Spotslights, musi-
cal horns and whistles are strictly prohibited.
Each vehicle must have its tare and maximum
gross weight painted in white figures not less
than 2 inchess in ,height .upon a black back
ground m'a conspicubtts place on the right or
off-siedof the vehicles.


SThe Registered Identification marks on all
vehicles must conform to provisions of Regula-
tions 7, 8 and 9 and the second schedule to the
Regulations S.R. & O. No. 151.and.be in such
a condition as to render each letter or figure
readily distinguishable. The attention of owners
of motor omibuses and goods vehicles is specially
directed to Regulations 23 (11) (a) regarding the
position of front--lamps. Spot lights will not be
allowed except with tne written approval of the
Licensing Authority.
The attention of the owners of hiring cars and
motor omibuses is directed to Regulation 50 (2)
of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Regula-
tions S.R. & O. No. 151 of the Revised Laws of
Grenada which require that printed copies of the
tariffs and maximum fares be displayed in such
vehicles. These are now available and may be
purchased at the Treasury, St. George's, and at
any Dis:rict Revenue Office at 4 cents per copy.
Vehicles which have been found by the Inspec-
tor t have defects must not be used on:the roads
until they have been issued a certificate, certifying
that the vehicles may be duly licensed. -
