IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUSTICE
OTICE is hereby given that a Session of the
High Court of Grenada, in its Criminal
Jurisdiction will be held at the Court House in
the town of Saint George on Tuesday the 6th
day of June, 1972, at 9.30 o'clock in the forenoon
when and where all concerned and bound over to
prosecute or to give evidence or summoned as
Jurors or Witnesses are required to give their
personal attendance, and all officers who have
taken inquisitions, depositions, examinations,
recognisances or other papers cognisable by the
Court are required to return the same without
delay to this office.

NOTICE
Publication of Assessment List
WITH reference to notice appearing in Gazette
No. 25 of Saturday 1st April, 1972 the
public is hereby notified that in accordance with
Section 26 of the Water Supply Act No. 23 of
1969, the Assessment List 1972 in respect of
water rates for the several parishes as finally
determined may be seen at the office of the
Central Water Commission and at the District
Revenue Offices of the several parishes between
the hours of 8.30 in the morning and 4.00 in the
afternoon, Mondays to Fridays, and 8.30 to
12.00 noon on Saturdays during the period
1st May to 31st July, 1972, and that attendance
will be given during the time and places men-
tioned for the purpose of receiving the rates and
charges fixed by the Board.

IN pursuance of Section 21 (2) of the above
Ordinance, I hereby give notice that a copy
of the plan and report of Lawrence Benoit, a
licensed land surveyor, of a surey made on the
17th April, 1972, under the direction of the
Director of Surveys at the request of MR.
OSWALD MATTHEW for the purposes of establish-
ing the boundaries of a portion of land situate
at St. James in the parish of Saint Andrew the
ownership of which is being disputed by OSWALD
MATTHEW and WELLINGTON LALITE, have been
lodged at the Chambers of the Chief Registrar of
the West Indies Associated States Supreme

GOVERNMENT NOTICE
Vacant Temporary post of Agricultural Officer/
Senior Agricultural Officer
Ministry of Agriculture, Science and Technology
APPLICATIONS are invited from suitably
qualified persons for appointment to the
above-mentioned post, which is temporary.
Qualifications:
The minimum qualification required for
appointment to the post, is a degree in Agriculture
from a recognized University or other approved
Institution. Applicants possessing a Master's or
other higher degree or post-graduate diploma in
an approved subject would be considered for entry
to the Senior Agricultural Officer's grade.
Salary:
The salary of the post is as follows:
(a) Senior Agriculural Officer is in the
scale-$8,760 x 360-$9,840 x 480-
$10,800.
(b) Agricultural Officer is in the scale-
$6,480 x 240-$7,200 x 300-$8,400 x
360-$9,840 x 480-$10,800.
Duties:
(i) To consider any methods which may
lead to better physical soil conditions
for any areas capable of growing
economic crops;
(ii) To study rehabilitation processes and
techniques in the Soil Conservation
Districts, particularly in reformed
areas of high salt and soil content and
on Joes River muds;
(iii) To study methods of improving soil
structure and physical conditions of
heavy soils of the St. George's Valley;
(iv) To consider methods of improving
moisture holding properties of draugh-
ty soils in the dry costal areas;
(v) To undertake a systematic series of
studies on the effects of burning of
sugar cane on soil structure with a
view of taking remedial action;
Any such other duties as may be assigned
'from time to time by the Chief Agricultural
Officer.
Appointment:
Appointment will be on contract agreement
for two (2) years.

and full details of the post may be obtained from

TwoWeek August Induction Course
for Intending Teachers
AN Induction Course for all young people who
wish to become teachers in the primary and
secondary schools of the State will be held during
the two weeks commencing 21st August, 1972,
at Grenada Teachers' College.
The minimum qualification for appointment to
teaching is School Leaving Certificate or one
G.C.E. O'level subject. Students who sat the 1972
School Leaving Examination or who will sit the
1972 Cambridge Examinations may apply.
Applications should be addressed to the Prin-
cipal, Grenada Teachers' College to reach him not
later than 29th July, 1972.
