OTICE is hereby given that a Session of the
High Court of Grenada, in its Criminal
Jurisdiction will be held at the Court House in
the town of Saint George on Tuesday the 6th
day of June, 1972, at 9.30 o'clock in the forenoon
when and where all concerned and bound over to
prosecute or to give evidence or summoned as
Jurors or Witnesses are required to give their
personal attendance, and all officers who have
taken inquisitions, depositions, examinations,
recognisances or other papers cognisable by the
Court are required to return the same without
delay to this office.

(Cap. 153)
(SECOND PUBLICATION)

IT is hereby notified for general information
that in pursuance of the powers vested in Her
under the Land Acquisition Ordinance (Cap. 153),
the Governor acting in accordance with the advice
of the Cabinet of the State of Grenada has been
pleased to appoint Mr. Raymond I. Millet to be
Lhe Authorised Officer for the purpose of the
acquisition of the lot of land mentioned and
described in the Schedule hereto:-
SCHEDULE
All that lot, piece or parcel of land being a
portion of Richmond Estate situate in the parish
of St. Andrew in he State of Grenada containing
by estimation 5 acres more or less and believed
to be owned by or under the control of Messrs.
Eric Wells and George A. Chichester. The said
lot of land is bounded on one side by lands of
Mrs. Wilfred Palmer, on another side by the
public road and on the remaining sides by lands
of the said RICHMOND ESTATE.

In the matter of a Declaration by the Gover-
nor that a lot of land being a portion of
Richmond Estate in the parish, of St.
Andrew in the S Late of Grenada contain-
ing by estimation 5 acres more or less.
DECLARATION OF ACQUISITION OF LAND
(SECOND PUBLICATION)
WHEREAS it is provided in effect by section 3
of the Land Acquisition Ordinance, (Cap. 153) of
the Revised Laws of Grenada that if the Gover-
nor acting in accordance with the advice of
the Cabinet of the State of Grenada considers that
any land should be acquired for a public purpose
She may cause a declaration to that effect to be
made:
Now, THEREFORE, it is considered by the
Governor acting as aforesaid that the land men-
tioned and described in the Schedule hereto
should be acquired for a public purpose, to wit,
establishing a Land Settlement
SCHEDULE

Publication of Assessment List

W ITH reference to notice appearing in Gazette
No. 25 of Saturday 1st April, 1972 the
public is hereby notified that in accordance with
Section 26 of the Water Supply Act No. 23 of
1969, the Assessment List 1972 in respect of
water rates for the several parishes as finally
,determined may be seen at the office of the
Central Water Commission and at the District
Revenue Offices of the several parishes between
the hours of 8.30 in the morning and 4.00 in the
afternoon, Mondays to Fridays, and 8.30 to
12.00 noon on Saturdays during the period
1st May to 31st July, 1972, and that attendance
will be given during the time and places men-
tioned for the purpose of receiving the rates and
charges fixed by the Board.

A PPLICATIONS are invited from suitable
qualified persons for appointment to the
abovementioned post.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Candidates should have at least five (5) years
practical experience as a teacher, and should have
a recognized professional certificate such as the
Erdiston Teachers' Training Certificate, or
equivalent. A Diploma in the Theory and
Practice of Audio-Visual methods in Education
and/or an Audio-Visual Aids Technician's Certi-
ficate of the City and Guilds of London Institute
will be an asset.

SALARY:
The salary of the post is in the scale $6,720 x
240-7,200 x 300-$8,100.

DUTIES :
Thef officer will be required:
(a) To promote in the schools the use of
various types of audio-visual media in
education;
(b) To assist in teacher-training through
group organizations, induction course,
Saturday morning classes and through the
activities of audio-visual aids workshops;
(c) To assist with programming for audio-
visual aids in schools, and in preparing
scripts for the production of slides and
filmstrips;
(d) To participate in research to evaluate
the effectiveness of audio-visual techni-
ques;
(e) To perform such other duties as he may
be required to perform from time to time.

APPOINTMENT:
The appointment is subject to medical fitness
and a probationary period of two years except in
the case of serving officers. Salary is subject to a
deduction of 2% per annum under the Widows
and Children Pensions Act. The officer will be
generally subject to such orders, rules and regu-
lations as may be in force from time to time.

sons employed in the Public Service of Barbados)
and S.C. 21 (in the case of other applicants) and
full details of the post may be obtained from THE
CHIEF PERSONNEL OFFICER, PUBLIC SERVICE
COMMISSION, ST. GEORGE'S.

reach the Chief Personnel Officer, Service Com-
missions Department, "Flodden", Culloden Road,
St. Michael, not later than 13th May, 1972.
