OTICE is hereby given that a Session of the
High Court of Grenada, in its Criminal
Jurisdiction will be held at the Court House in
the town of Saint George on Tuesday the 6th
day of June, 1972, at 9.30 o'clock in the forenoon
when and where all concerned and bound over to
prosecute or to give evidence or summoned as
Jurors or Witnesses are required to give their
personal attendance, and all officers who have
taken inquisitions, depositions, examinations,
recognisances or other papers cognisable by the
Court are required to return the same without
delay to this office.

NOTICE

Vacant Post of Audio Visual Aids Officer, Audio
Visual Aids Department, Ministry of Education

APPLICATIONS are invited from suitable
qualified persons for appointment to the
abovementioned post.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates should have at least five (5) years
practical experience as a teacher, and should have
a recognized professional certificate such as the
Erdiston Teachers' Training Certificate, or
equivalent. A Diploma in the Theory and
Practice of Audio-Visual methods in Education
and/or an Audio-Visual Aids Technician's Certi-
ficate of the City and Guilds of London Institute
will be an asset.

SALARY:
The salary of the post is in the scale $6,720 x
240-7,200 x 300-$8,100.

DUTIES:
The officer will be required:
(a) To promote in the schools the use of
various types of audio-visual media in
education;
(b) To assist in teacher-training through
group organizations, induction course,
Saturday morning classes and through the
activities of audio-visual aids workshops;
(c) To assist with programming for audio-
visual aids in schools, and in preparing
scripts for the production of slides and
filmstrips;
(d) To participate in research to evaluate
the effectiveness of audio-visual techni-
ques;
(e) To perform such other duties as he may
be required to perform from time to time.

APPOINTMENT:
The appointment is subject to medical fitness
and a probationary period of two years except in
the case of serving officers. Salary is subject to a
deduction of 2% per annum under the Widows
and Children Pensions Act. The officer will be
generally subject to such orders, rules and regu-
lations as may be inforce from time to time.

and S.C. 21 (in the case of other applicants) and

Duties of Post
The duties of the Assistant Goverrment
Printer are of an Executive nature. The successful

various sections of the Department, and will also
be responsible for the proper functioning of the
office during the absence of the Government
Printer.

Salary

Appointment

Applicants must have experience in the Print-
ing Trade and should possess G.C.E. 'O' Level
(or its equivalent) in at least four (4) subjects,
including English Language and Mathematics or
Science. The successful applicant may be required
to undergo a period of training abroad.
Consideration will also be given to those
applicants-who might have executive ability but
no printing experience in which case, the success-
ful applicant will be required to undergo a period
if in-service training in the Government Printing
Office before being sent for further training.
The appointment which is subject to medical
fitness will either be on the permanent establish-
ment or on contract for a period of three (3) years'
in the first instance.
Applications stating qualifications and ex-
perience together with two recent testimonials
should be addressed to the Chief Personnel
Officer, Service Commissions Department, Kings-
town, St. Vincent and should reach him not later
than 6th May, 1972.
