THE GRENADA BANANA CO-OPERATIVE
SOCIETY

(BANANA ORDINANCE CAP. 25 SEC. 7)

IT is hereby notified that the Annual General
Meeting of The Grenada Banana Co- opera-
tive Society will be convened on Wednesday, 19th
April, 1972 at 9.00 a.m. at the Civil Service
Association Centre at Tanteen, St. George's for
the election of six members to serve on the
Committee of Management for the ensuing period
of twelve months.

Candidates should have at least five (5) years
practical experience as a teacher, and should have
a recognized professional certificate such as the
Erdiston Teachers' Training Certificate, or
equivalent. A Diploma in the Theory and
Practice of Audio-Visual methods in Education
and/or an Audio-Visual Aids Technician's Certi-
ficate of the City and Guilds of London Institute
will be an asset.

SALARY:
The salary of the post is in the scale $6,720 x
240-7,200 x 300-$8,100.

DUTIES:
The officer will be required:
(a) To promote in the schools the use of
various types of audio-visual media in
education;
(b) To assist in teacher-training through
group organizations, induction course,
Saturday morning classes and through the
activities of audio-visual aids workshops;
(c) To assist with programming for audio-
visual aids in schools, and in preparing
scripts for the production of slides and
filmstrips;
(d) To participate in research to evaluate
the effectiveness of audio-visual techni-
ques;
(e) To perform such other duties as he may
be required to perform from time to time.

APPOINTMENT:
The appointment is subject to medical fitness
and a probationary period of two years except in
the case of serving officers. Salary is subject to a
deduction of 2% per annum under the Widows
and Children Pensions Act. The officer will be
generally subject to such orders, rules and regu-
lations as may be inforce from time to time.

and S.C. 21 (in the case of other applicants) and

would like to announce that applications are
now being received for the following programmes
to commence in September 1972:-
1. Day School Classes in Commercial Studies.
2. Afternoon and Evening Classes in Commer-
cial Studies.
