NOTICE is hereby given that the Magistrate
of the Southern District will hold a special
session at the Court House, St. George's on
Friday the 7th April, 1972 at 9.00 o'clock in the
forenoon for the purpose of hearing objections
to, and Appeals from, the Assessments made by
the Tax Officer under the Taxes Management
Ordinance.

day of January, and the 28th day of December,
1971 there will be offered for sale at this office


on Friday the 17th day of March, 1972 at 9.00
o'clock in the forenoon the following property:-

ALL THAT lot piece or parcel of land being a
portion of Point Salines Estate situate in the
parish of Saint George in the island of Grenada
containing by admeasurement 127 acres English
Statue Measure and abutted and bounded as the
same is delineated and described in the plan or
diagram thereof marked "D" which said plan was

prepared by Raymond I. Millet a Licensed Land
Surveyor and is annexed to an agreement herein-
after called the said agreement) dated the 17th
day of December, 1969, and made between the
Plaintiff of the one part and Cannes Investment
Company of the other part and recorded in the
Deeds and Land Registry aforesaid in Liber N. 11
at page 196 SAVE and EXCEPT therefrom ALL
THAT lot piece or parcel of land being a portion
of the said Point Salines Estate situate in the
parish of Saint George aforesaid containing by
admeasurement 76,000 square feet English Statue
Measure and abutted and bounded as the same
is delineated and described in the plan or diagram
marked "E" prepared by the said Raymond I.
Millet and also annexed to the said Agreement
AND ALSO SAVE and EXCEPT therefrom ALL
THAT lot piece or parcel of land being a portion
of the said Point Salines Estate aforesaid contain-
ing by admeasurement 33,220 square feet English
Statue Measure and abutted and bounded as the
same is delineated and described in the plan there-
of marked "C" annexed to an Indenture of
Conveyance dated the 31st day of October, 1967,
and made between the Plaintiff of the One part
and Joan Otway of the Other part and recorded in
the Deeds and Land Registry aforesaid in Liber
C8X at page 125 (being a portion of the here-
ditaments conveyed to the Plaintiff by an Indenture
lated the 5th day of March, 1967 and made
between Carmen Ilma Julien of the One part and
the Plaintiff of the Other part and recorded in the
Deeds and Land Registry aforesaid in Liber E 10
at page 203.

The sale is subject to conditions which will
then be read a copy of which may be seen at the
Registrar's Office and to the RESERVE PRICE
of $2,015,562.90.

Vacant Post of Audio Visual Aids Officer, Audio
Visual Aids Department, Ministry of Education
PPLICATIONS are invited from suitable
qualified persons for appointment to the
abovementioned post.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Candidates should have at least five (5) years
practical experience as a teacher, and should have
a recognized professional certificate such as the
Erdiston Teachers' Training Certificate, or

equivalent. A Diploma in the Theory and
Practice of Audio-Visual methods in Education
and/or an Audio-Visual Aids Technician's Certi-
ficate of tme City and Guilds of London institute
will be an asset.

SALARY:

The salary of the post is in the scale $6,720 x
240-7,200 x 300-$8,100.

DUTIES :

The officer will be required:

(a) To promote in the schools the use of
various types of audio-visual media in
education;

(b) To assist in teacher-training through
group organizations, induction course,
Saturday morning classes and through the
activities of audio-visual aids workshops;
(c) To assist with programming for audio-
visual aids in schools, and in preparing
scripts for the production of slides and
filmstrips;
(d) To participate in research to evaluate
the effectiveness of audio-visual techni-
ques;


(e) To perform such other duties as he may
be required to perform from time to time.

APPOINTMENT:

The appointment is subject to medical fitness
and a probationary period of two years except in
the case of serving officers. Salary is subject to a
deduction of 2% per annum under the Widows
and Children Pensions Act. The officer will be
generally subject to such orders, rules and regu-
lations as may be inforce from time to time.

sons employed in the Public Service of Barbados)
and S.C. 21 (in the case of other applicants) and
full details of the post may be obtained from THE
CHIEF PERSONNEL OFFICER, PUBLIC SERVICE
COMMISSION, ST. GEORGE'S.

reach the Chief Personnel Officer, Service Com-
missions Department, "Flodden", Culloden Road,
St. Michael, not later than 13th May, 1972.
