Jurisdiction, will be held at the Court House in
the Town of Saint George on Tuesday the 2nd

prosecute or to give evidence or summoned as
jurors or witnesses are required to give their
personal attendance, and all officers who have

the Land Acquisition Ordinance (Cap. 153), the
Governor acting in accordance with the advice of
the Cabinet of the State of Grenada has been

DECLARATION OF ACQUISITION OF LAND

(FIRST PUBLICATION)

WHEREAS it is provided in effect by section 3 of
the Land Acquisition Ordinance (Cap. 153) of the
Revised Laws of Grenada that if the Governor
acting in accordance with the advice of the
Cabinet of the State of Grenada considers that
any land should be acquired for a purpose, which
in the opinion of the Governor is a public pur-
pose, She may cause a Declaration to that effect
to be.made.
AND WHEREAS it is considered by the Governor
acting as aforesaid that the land mentioned and
described in the Schedule hereto should be
acquired for a public purpose to wit, for public
education.
Now, THEREFORE, it is hereby declared by the
Governor acting in accordance with the advice of
the Cabinet of the State of Grenada that upon the

FOR the incorporation of the Trustees of the Westmoriand School in the State of Grenada.
1. Public Notice is hereby given in accordance with Legislative Council Standing Order
No. 45 (3) (b) of S. R. & 0. No- 21 of 1964 that it is intended to introduce into the House of
Representatives the above mentioned Bill.
2. Notice of the intended introduction of this Bill is being given in the Grenada Governmeni
Gazette and copies of the Bill may be purchased from the Government Printer.
3. The object of this Bill among other things is to incorporate the Trustees of the Westmorland
School in order to enable them to hold properly a -: otherwise to carry out the aims and objects of
the Westmoriand School.
4. Any person wishing to be heard in opposition to the Bill must lodge, with the Clerk of the
House of Representatives, a petition showing the nature of his objections to the Bill and stating
whether his objections extend to the whole or so ne part of the preamble or to the clauses of the
Bill and praying that he may be heard by himself' or his Counsel against the Bill.

WHEREAS there has been established in the State Preamble.
a School known as the Westmorland School (herein-
after called the School).

Grenada Robert L. Mac Intosh of Lance Aux Epines in
the parish of St. George aforesaid Lester Johnson of
T. .- in the parish of St. George aforesaid Lawrence
Co-u amissiong of Woodlands in the parish of St. George
aforesaid and Gordon Lester Brathwaite of Lance Aux
Epines aforesaid have been asked and are willing to
serve as Trustees of and to hold property for any of the
uses or purposes of the School.

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the Trustees
for the time being should be incorporated and should
have power inter alia to hold lands and other property
in trui;t for the school.

E2 it therefore enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Enactment.
Ma:esty by and with the advice and consent of the
Senate and the House of Representatives of Grenada
and by the authority of the same as follows:-

1. This Act may be cited as the Short title.

WEST ORLND SC-HOOL (INCORPORATION)

ACT, 1970.

2. The said Leo Victor De Gale, Robert L. Mac Incorpora-
Intosh, Lester Johnson, Lawrence Commissiong and tio" of
Gordon Lester Brathwaite and their successors in office
as Trustees of the Westmorland School shall be and are
hereby created a body corporate by the name "'The
Incorporated Trustees of the Westmorland School"
(hereinafter called the Trustees) and by that name shall
have perpetual succession and also by that name shall
have and use a Common Seal which may from time to
time be changed, altered or made anew.

3. The Trustees shall have full power to acquire for Trustees
the School by purchase, transfer, exchange, devise, y acquire
grant, gift, bequest, or otherwise, all lands or other
property of what nature or kind so ever in perpetuity
or for a life or lives or for any term of years, and also
any money, securities for money, goods chattels what-
soever, and to take, hold and enjoy the same and
subject also to the performance of any trust upon which
the said lands or other property, money securities for
money, goods or chattels may have been acquired.

It shall be lawful for the Trustees, subject to the Trustees
performance of any trust as aforesaid from time to time may dispose
of property.
by deed under their seal to sell or demise, grant, convey,
transfer, exchange, surrender or otherwise dispose of
any lands or other property vested or which may here-
after be vested in them.

It shall be lawful for the Trustees subject to the Trustees may
performance of any trust as aforesaid, to borrow borrow and
money and for payment of the same, by deed under mortgages.

their seal to give and execute mortgages, charges,
pledges, or other securities of their real or personal
property or to make any such arrangement as they may
consider convenient, with such covenants, powers and
provisions as they may think proper.

Execution of All deeds and other documents requiring the seal of
Deeds etc. the Trustees shall be sealed with the Common Seal of
the Trustees in the presence of at least two of the
Trustees who shall sign every such deed or other
document to which the said Seal is affixed and such
signing shall be prima facie evidence that the said seal
was duly and properly affixed and that the same is the
lawful seal of the Trustees.
Address for The Incorporated Thustees shall at all times have a
servi fixed address in this island for the service of documents
on them and such address shall be registered with the
Registrar of Companies. All documents to be served
on the Incorporated Trustees may be served by leaving
the same at or sending the same by registered post to
the address so registered.
Saving of Nothing in this Act shall affect or be deemed to
Crowns or
other rights. affect the rights of Her Majesty, Her Heirs and
successors, or any bodies politic or corporate or of any
other persons except such as are mentioned in this Act
and those claiming by from under them.
