ORDINANCE CAP. 37
N pursuance of section 21 (2) of the above
Ordinance, I hereby give notice that a copy
of the plans and report of W. T. A. Keens-Douglas,
a licensed land surveyor, of a survey made on the
12th November, 1968, under the direction of the
Director of Surveys, at the request of David
Dubisette for the pupose of determining certain
boundary marks between the lands of the Estate
of the late Frederick Dubisette and Neville
Theodore have been lodged at the Chambers of the
Chief Registrar of the West Indies Associated
States Supreme Court at Grenada.

OTICE is hereby given that Session of the
High Court at Grenada, in its Criminal
Jurisdiction, will be held at the Court House in
the town of Saint George on Tuesday the 3rd day
of February, 1970, at 9.00 o'clock in the forenoon
when and where all concerned and bound over to
prosecute or to give evidence or summoned as
jurors or witnesses are required to give their
personal attendance, and all officers who have
taken inquisitions, depositions, examinations,
recognisances or other papers cognisable by the
Court are required to return the same without
delay to this office.

TRAINING OF NURSING ASSISTANTS


PPLICATIONS are invited from suitably
qualified persons for admission to a pro-
gramme of training for Nursing Assistants to begin
in February, 1970. The number of trainees required
is ten (10).

The REQUIREMENTS for the programme are
as follows:-
(i) Education: Minimum-Primary Education
up to school leaving level.
Maximum-G.C.E. 'O' Level passes in
English and/or Health Science.
(ii) Age: 17 to 45 years.
(iii) Sex: Female.
(iv) Reidence: Within easy commuting dis-
tance of the Training Centre.
(v) Nursing Experience: Preferable but not
compulsory.
Interested persons are invited to procure appli-
cation forms from the Ministry of Health, St.
George's.

Completed applications should be handed in to
the Ministry by 20th January, 1970.

Successful applicants will be required to enter
into an agreement to serve Government after
qualifying.

NOTICE

COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIP AND
FELLOWSHIP PLAN TRINIDAD AND
TOBAGO POST-GRADUATE SCHOLAR-
SHIP IN TROPICAL AGRICULTURE


NDER the Commonwealth Scholarship
Fellowship Plan the Government of Trinidad
and Tobago is making available one (1) award
for post-graduate studies/research in Tropical
Agriculture, leading to a post-graduate degree
or diploma where appropriate and tenable at
the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine,


Trinidad. The award will be made effective for
the academic year commencing October, 1970.


2. The area of study will be limited to the
research and teaching facilities available at the
University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.


3. This award is tenable for two academic
years in the first instance (unless the course of
study is for a shorter period), with a possibility
of its being extended for a third year in the
absolute discretion of the Government of Trinidad
and Tobago if the candidate's work attains such
a standard that he is recommended by the Univer-
sity authorities to study for the Ph.D. degree.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Commonwealth citizens or
British protected persons normally resident in the
nominating country.

Applicants must already have a first degree or
equivalent qualification in agriculture from a
recognized institution of study at the time of
application.

As a general rule applicants should not be more
than 35 years of age on 1st October, 1970. Pre-
ference may be given to candidates between 22 and
28 years o, age.

A detailed statement from the University or
Institution of Higher Learning from which the
applicant graduated must accompany each appli-
cation form. This statement must show the subjects
studied in each year of study and the results
obtained in each subject. The grades achieved
must be indicated, if possible.

Application

Application forms are available at the Ministry
of Social Affairs, St. George's, and should be
submitted to reach the Chief Education Officer
not later than 31st January, 1970.

The following document must accompany each
application:

(i) 6 certified copies of applicant's University/
College record (including degree certifi-
cates) the subjects studied and, as far as
possible, the grades attained during each
year of study.

(ii) 6 copies of a statement of not more than
200 words outlining the applicant's pro-
posed plan of study and/or research in
Trinidad and Tobago.

Confidential comments from three (3) referees
must be sent by the referees direct to the Govern-
ment of Trinidad and Tobago.

T is hereby notified for general information that,
in pursuance of the power vested in Her under
the Land Acquisition Ordinance (Cap. 153), the
Governor acting in accordance with the advice of
the Cabinet of the State of Grenada has been
pleaded to appoint MR. R. MILLET, Chief
Technical Officer (Surveys), to be the Authorised
Oficer for the purpose of the acquisition of the
lot of land mentioned and described in the
Schedule hereto.

All that lot, piece or parcel of land containing
by admeasurement 1 rood and 26 poles more or
less being a portion of a parcel of land situate
at Windsor Forest in the parish of St. David
believed to be owned by Mrs. Margaret Clement

bounded on the north by a public cemetery, on

WHEREAS it is provided in effect by section 3 of
the Land Acquisition Ordinance (Cap. 153) of the
Revised Laws of Grenada that if the Governor
acting in accordance with the advice of the
Cabinet considers that any land should be
acquired for a public purpose She may cause a
declaration to that effect to be made:

acting as aforesaid that the land mentioned and
described in the Schedule hereto should be


acquired for a public purpose, to wit, for the
construction of a Comnmunity Cenlre:

Now, THEa-EFORE, it is hereby declared by the
Governor acting in accordance with the advice of
the Cabinet of the State of Grenada that upon the

Gazette, the land mentioned and described in the
Schedule hereto shall be acquired for the above-
mien:ioned purpose and shall vest absolutely in
the Crown.

AND IT Is HEREBY FURTHER declared and
notified that the land referred to form part of a
parcel of land situate at Windsor Forest in the
parish of St. David in the State of Grenada and
believed to be owned by Mrs. Margaret Clement
