S addition to the office of Premier such other offices of Minister as may be established by the
Legislature or, subject to the provisions of any law enacted by the Legislature, by the Governor, acting
in accordance with the advice of the Premier:

NOW, THEREFORE, I HILDA BYNOE, Governor acting in accordance with the advice of the
Premier hereby constitute and establish the office of Minister for Youth with all the powers, privileges
and authorities to the said office of Minister appertaining or belonging.

TOTICE is hereby given that Session of the
High Court at Grenada, in its Criminal
Jurisdiction, will be held at the Court House in
the town of Saint George on Tuesday the 3rd day
of February, 1970, at 9.00 o'clock in the forenoon
when and where all concerned and bound over to'
prosecute or to give evidence or summoned as
jurors or witnesses are required to-give.their
personal attendance, and all officers who have
taken inquisitions, depositions, examinations,
recognisances or other papers cognisable by the
Court are required to return the same without
delay to this office.

VACANT POST OF ASSISTANT TO THE
ATTORNEY-GENERAL AND LEGAL
DRAFTSMAN'

APPLICATIONS are invited from suitably
A qualified persons for appointment to the
post of Assistant to the Attorney-General and
Legal Draftsman, Grenada.
Salary:
Salary will be $8,400 per annum, but this may
be reviewed following a salaries revision.
Qualifications .
Applicant should be a legally qualified
Barrister-at-Law. Preference will be given to
persons with experience in legal drafting.
Appointment:
.The appointment is permanent and pensionable,
subject to medical fitness. A probationary period
of two years may be required. The Officer will
be subject to General Orders and Financial Rules
in force from time to time.
Duties:
The duties of the post will be defined by the
Attorney General to whom the successful apph-
cant will be directly responsible for efficient
performance.
Passages for the successful applicant, wife and
children under the age of 20 years up to a limit
of five persons are payable on first appointment.
Baggage allowance up to 5 shipping tons (200
cubit feet) will be paid; ,
Leave entitlement is 42 days annually, of which
14 days must be taken. Maximum accumulation
of leave-126 days.
Government Quarters are not provided but if
quarters are available they may be rented at 10%
of salary per annum.
All applications must be addressed to the

Grenada, to reach her not later than 10th
January, 1970

In the matter of the Land Acquisition Ordinance
(Cap. 153)

(FIRST PUBLICATION)

T is hereby notified for general information that,
in pursuance of the power vested in Her under
the Land Acquisition Ordinance (Cap. 153), the
Governor acting in accordance with the advice of
the Cabinet of the State of Grenada has been
pleased to appoint MR. R. MILLET, Chief
Technical Officer (Surveys), to be the Authorised
Officer for the purpose of the acquisition of the
lot of land mentioned and described in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE

All that lot, piece or parcel of land containing
by admeasurement 1 rood and 26 poles more or
less being a .portion of a parcel of land situate
at Windsor Forest in the parish of St. David
believed to be owned by Mrs. Margaret Clement
and Messrs. Andrew Duncan and Edward Duncan,
bounded on the north by a public cemetery, on
the south and west by other lands of Mrs. Margaret
Clement and Messrs. Andrew Duncan and Edward
Duncan and on the east by the public main road.

DECLARATION OF ACQUISITION OF LAND

(FIRST PUBLICATION)
WHEREAS it is provided in effect by section 3 of
the Land Acquisition Ordinance (Cap. 153) of the
Revised Laws of Grenada that if the Governor
acting in accordance with the advice of the
'Cabinet considers that any land should be
acquired for a public purpose She may cause a
declaration to that effect to be made:

AND WI1EREAS it is considered by the Goverhor
acting as aforesaid that the land mentioned and
described in the Schedule hereto should be
acquired for a public, purpose, to wit, for the
construction of a Community Centre:

Now, THEREFORE, it is hereby declared by the
Governor acting in accordance with the advice of
the Cabinet of the State of Grenada that umon the


Second Publication of this declaration in the
Gazette, the land mentioned and described in the
Schedule hereto shall be acquired for the above-
mentioned purpose and shall vest absolutely in
the Crown.

AND IT Is HEREBY FURTHER declared and
notified that the land referred to form part of a
parcel of land situate at Windsor Forest in the
parish of St. David in the State of Grenada and
believed to be owned by Mrs. Margaret Clement
and Messrs. Andrew Duncan and Edward Duncan
and is about 1 rood and 26 .poles in area.

NOTICE

COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIP AND
FELLOWSHIP PLAN TRINIDAD AND
TOBAGO POST-GRADUATE SCHOLAR-
SHIP IN TRiOJL .\L AGRICULTURE

NDER the Commonwealth Scholarship
Fellowship Plan the Government of Trinidad
and Tobago is making available one (1) award
for post-graduate studies/research in Tropical
Agriculture, leading to a post-graduate degree
or diploma where appropriate and tenable at
the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine,
Trinidad. The award will be made effective for
the academic year commencing October, 1970.

2. The area of study will be limited to the
research and teaching facilities available at the
University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.

3. This award is tenable for two academic
years in the first instance (unless the course of
study is for a shorter period), with a possibility
of its being extended for a third year in the
absolute discretion of the Government of Trinidad
and Tobago if the candidate's work attains such
a standard that he is recommended by the Univer-
sity authorities to study for the Ph.D. degree.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Commonwealth citizens or
British protected persons normally resident in the
nominating country.

Applicants must already have a first degree or
equivalent qualification in agriculture from a
recognized institution of study at the time of
application.


As a general rule applicants should not be more
than 35 years of age on 1st October, 1970. Pre-
ference may be given to candidates between 22 and
28 years o' age.

A detailed statement from the University or
Institution of Higher Learning from which the
applicant graduated must accompany each appli-
cation form. This statement must show the subjects
studied in each year of study and the results
obtained in each subject. The grades achieved
must be indicated, if possible.

Application

Application forms are available at the Ministry
of Social Affairs, St. George's, and should be
submitted to reach the Chief Education Officer
not later than 31st January, 1970.

The following document must accompany each
application:
(i) 6 certified copies of applicant's University/
College record (including degree certifi-
cates) the subjects studied and, as far as
possible, the grades attained during each
year of study.
(ii) 6 copies of a statement of not more than
200 words outlining the applicant's pro-
posed plan of study and/or research in
Trinidad and Tobago.

Confidential comments from three (3) referees
must be sent by the referees direct to the Govern-
ment of Trinidad and Tobago.
