PPLICATIONS are invited for admission to
S the Regional Youth Camp in Dominica from

SCorporation has erected Boom Gates at the
entrance and exit points at the Market Square.
The operation of these gates will be put into

IT is hereby notified for general information that,
in pursuance of the powers vested in Her under
the Land Acquisition Ordinance (Cap. 153), the
Governor acting in accordance with the advice of
the Cabinet of the State of Grenada has been
pleased to appoint MR. RAYMOND I. MILLET to be
the Authorised Officer for the purpose of the
acquisition of the lot of land mentioned and
described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

All that lot, piece or parcel of land situate at
Windsor Forest in the parish of St David con-
taining approximately acre more or less and
believed to be owned by Mrs. Margaret Clement
and Messrs. Andrew Duncan and Edward Duncan
abutted and bounded on one side by the public
road on another side by a public cemetery and
on the remaining sides by lands of Mrs. Margaret

portion of a lot of land believed to be owned
by Mrs. Margaret Clement and Messrs.

Windsor Forest, in the parish of St. David
are likely to be required for a public pur-
pose.

(FIRST PUBLICATION)
1 HEREAS it is provided by section 4 of the
Land Acquisition Ordinance (Cap. 153) of
the Revised Laws of Grenada that if it appears
to the Governor acting in accordance with the
advice of the Cabinet that any land is likely to be
required for any purpose which in the opinion of
the Governor is a public purpose, and it is neces-
sary to make a preliminary survey or other inves-
tigation of the land, She will cause a notification
to that effect to be published in the Gazette and
thereupon it shall be lawful for the Authorised
Officer (or his agents, assistants and workmen) tc
enter upon the said land and to do all or any ol
the things empowered by the said section:

AND WHEREAS it appears to the Governor acting
as aforesaid that the lands mentioned and des


cribed in the Schedule hereto are likely to be
required for a public purpose, to wit, for the
purpose of constructing a Community Centre.

Now, THEREFORE, it is hereby notified by the
Governor acting in accordance with the advice of
the Cabinet of the State of Grenada that the lands
mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto
are likely to be required for the abovementioned
purpose and that it is necessary to make a pre-
liminary survey and other investigations of the
land, and RAYMOND I. MILLET ESQ., Chief Tech-
nical Officer (Surveys) Authorised Officer appoin-
ted for the purpose of the said acquisition may
enter upon the said lands and do all or any of the
things by the said section permitted.

The said lands comprise by estimation i acre
more or less being a portion of a lot of land
believed to be owned by Mrs. Margaret Clement

T HE Entry Forms and Time-Tables for the 1970
G.C.E. Examinations have arrived; and
Principals of schools, as well as intending Private
candidates, are hereby invited to apply at the
Office of the Local Secretary (located at the
Botanic Gardens) for requirements.
Private Candidates, who are taking the Exam.
nations for the first time, must satisfy the Loca
Secretary that they are qualified to sit by produce
ing evidence that they have passed the qualifying
tests, as determined by the Chief Educatior
Officer.
Arrangements satisfactory to the Local Secre
tary must be made beforehand by Privat,
Candidates taking Practical Tests in Science
Subjects, also Cookery, and Needlework an(
Dressmaking.
The Examinations are schedule to take plac
during the period Monday, 1st June, to Frida3
26th June, 1970. However, Oral Tests in Moder:
Languages and Practical Tests in Cookery will b
conducted before June 1st, 1970.
Entry Forms, duly completed, must reach th
Local Secretary on or before Wednesday, 31s
December, 1969, together with Treasury Receipt
for the Examination Fees.
Examination Fees remain the same as ii
former years, i.e. Entrance Fees per candidate
Local $5, Cambridge Syndicate $7.20; Subjec
Fees per subject: A-Level $7.20; AO and O -
Levels $2.40..

spector in the Royal Grenada Police Force.
2. The successful applicants will be required
to proceed upon a course of training in a
neighboring territory at once.

tion "0" Level. English Language is com-
pulsory.

NOTICE

Tenders for Carriacou Mail and Passenger Service

SEALED Tenders are invited for the conveyance of mails, passengers and cargo weekly between
Grenada and Carriacou by auxiliary vessel for the period 1st January to 31st December, 1970
in accordance with the Schedules given hereunder.
2. The vessels to be used for the service must not be less than 40 tons and must be equipped with
adequate seating accommodation and sanitary facilities for not less than thirty (30) passengers, and
with life boats for passengers and crew.
3. Supplies including planting material and equipment for all Government Department or Public
Officers and Institutions and Wireless Stations and all personnel travelling on official business will be
conveyed free of charge.
4. If necessary, the successful tender may be required to make arrangements to transport fuel oil
for the operation of the Electricity Services in Carriacou. in drums of 45 gallons, and to return the empty
drums to St. George's at a fixed price for the period of the contract.
5. Tenders should be submitted to the Chairman, Tenders Board, Premier's Office, St. George's
marked "Tenders for the conveyance of mails, passengers and cargo between Grenada and Carriacou,"
by noon on Saturday, 29th November, 1969.
6. Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
