TAKE NOTICE THAT the Magistrate of the
Northern and Western Districts will hold the
following special sessions for his Districts for the
purposes of hearing objections to, and appeals
from the Assessments made by the Tax Officer
under the provisions of Section 25, of Cap. 290,
The Taxes Management Ordinance:--

Western, Sauteurs, Wednesday 16th April,

balanced by increases in the prices of sliced ham and salted beef. This group index
rose by .07 units to 129.20.

quently this group index rose by .25 units to 123.92.

RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE LEGISLATURE PURSUANT TO SECTION 6 OF THE
FINANCE AND AUDIT ORDINANCE 1964 (NO. 9 OF 1964)


WHEREAS by section 6 (1) of the Finance and Audit Ordinance 1964, (No. 9 of 1964) it is
provided in effect that the Legislature may from time to time by resolution authorise the
Minister of Finance to borrow, by means of advances from a bank money to an amount not
exceeding in the aggregate the sum specified in that behalf in the resolution to meet current require-
tnents:

AND WHEREAS it is further provided by the said section that where by resolution in accordance
with section 6 of the aforementioned Ordinance or in pursuance of any Ordinance power to borrow
money by means of advances from a bank is conferred on the Minister of Finance such a power
may be exercised by means of a fluctuating overdraft:

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the Minister of Finance be authorised to borrow by means
of advances from any of the commercial banks operating in Grenada, money to an amount not
exceeding in the aggregate the sum of one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) to
meet current requirements:

Be it resolved that pursuant to the provisions of section 6 of the Finance and Audit Ordi-
nance, 1964, the Minister of Finance is hereby authorised to borrow by means of advances from
any of the commercial banks operating in Grenada, money to an amount n'ot exceeding in the
aggregate the sum of one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) to meet current
requirements.

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORISE THE MINISTER OF FINANCE TO MAKE ADVANCES
OUT OF PUBLIC FUNDS TO THE CENTRAL COMMITTEE "CARIFTA EXPO '69"


W HEREAS Government has decided to stage an Exposition at True Blue in Grenada, offi-
cially called "Carifta Expo '69" to which all Caribbean Governments as well as metro-
politian Governments have been invited;

AND WHEREAS this Exposition is scheduled to commence on 5th April, 1969;

AND WHEREAS a heartening and very satisfactory response has been received from Caribbean
Governments and other Governments and manufacturing firms to participate in the Exposition;

AND WHEREAS a National Committee, officially designated the Central Committee "Carifta
Expo '69" has been appointed and approved by Government to organise the Exposition and
to prepare the installation at the Expo site;

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that expenditure should be incurred for the purpose of staging
this national Exposition;

BE IT RESOLVED that the Minister of Finance be authorised to make advances out of public
funds to the Central Committee "Carifta Expo '69" up to an amount of one and a half million
dollars ($1,500,000) for the purpose of meeting tapenges in connection with this Exposition and
that such advances be accounted for and cleared at the end of the Exposition.
