SOCIETY

T is hereby notified that the Annual General
Meeting of the Grenada Banana Co-operative
Society will be convened on Thursday, 17th April,
1969, at 10.00 a.m. at the G.B.S.S. Auditorium at
Tanteen, St. George's, for the election of six
members to serve on the Committee of Manage-
ment for the ensuing period of twelve months.

proposed Grenada Regiment, should present
themselves to be interviewed by the Permanent

Leaving Certificate or its equivalent. G.C.E. 'O'
Level qualifications including English Language
would be a distinct advantage.

nology under the Canadian Caribbean Assistance
Programme.
2. Scholarships will be available in the
following fields:-
(i) Dentistry.
(ii) Hotel Management, Secretarial Science,
(iii) Business Administration,
Machine Shop Practice,
Welding Fitting,
Automotive Mechanics,
Applied Electricity
(Installation and Maintenance).
3. Applications should be made on the
prescribed form obtainable from the Ministry of
Social Affairs and should be accompanied by
photostat or certified true copies of candidates
certificates. Detailed results! showing examina-
tion grades should also be submitted.
4. Candidates applying for scholarships under
(i) must have 2 A-levels with at least B grades;
under (ii) four O-levels including English. Those
with 'A' level qualifications would be at an
advantage, under (iii) four O-levels, including
English.
5. Applications must reach the Chief Education
Officer, Ministry of Social Affairs, not later than
Saturday, 15th March, 1969.

Vacancy for Post Senior Administrative Officer
Common Market Secretariat


PPLICATIONS are invited for the post of
Senior Administrative Officer to the East
Caribbean Common Market Secretariat in St.
Lucia on a contract basis for a period of three
years.
2. The salary of the post will be $8,400 flat and
a housing allowance of $480 per annum will be
payable if the officer is recruited from outside
St. Lucia.
3. The Officer will be required to operate the
provisions of the Common Market Agreement
under the general supervision of the Executive
Secretary. The Officer should be experienced in
customs and trade matters or possess a back-
ground in trade economics.

2. Applicants must possess qualifications regis-
terable in the United Kingdom and must have the
M.C. Path. (Haematology)or equivalent, or alter-
natively the D.C.P. or Dip. Path. or equivalent with
not less than six years experience in Clinical
Pathology and Blood Transfusion Serology.

3. Salary is at the rate of $10,080 per annum
(2,100) plus 75% of fees paid to the Hospital for
specialist services carried out by the officer.

4. The appointment may be either on per-
manent and pensionable basis or on agreement
terms for a period of not less than two years and
not more than three years.
