Owners of such vehicles are advised to pay
respective District Revenue Offices and then ap-
proach the Inspector of Motor Vehicles at the
Traffic Branch, Fire Station, in advance with a
view to affecting any alteration that may be
necessary to comply with the provisions of the
Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Ordinance, and
of the Regulations made thereunder.
Vehicles must be presented in a thoroughly
clean condition, and must have been recently
overhauled The body and wings, axle, chassis,
frame steering arms, springs, trackrods, brake
connections, shackles, bolts, nuts, splitpins, engine
engine shield and case, clutch, gearbox magnets,
or coil air filter, carburetter and all working parts
must be cleaned in order to admit of proper ex-
amination. Dust covers, if used must be removed


before presentation in order to admit of an
examination being made in full. All split pins,
etc., must be clearly exposed, also chassis and
engine numbers. Drivers' seats must be securely
fastened so that the driver can have proper con-
trol over the vehicle spot lights, musical horns and
whistles are strictly prohibited. Each vehicle
must have its rate and maximum gross weight
painted in white figures not less than 21 inches
in height upon a black gack ground in a conspi-
cuous place on the right or off-side of the vehicle.
The Registered Identification marks on all
vehicles must conform to provisions of Regula-
tions, 7, 8 and 9 and the Second Schedule to the
Regulations, S.R. & O. No. 151 and be in such a
condition as to render each letter or figure readily
distinguishable. The attention of owners of
Motor Omnibuses and Goods Vehicles is specially
directed to Regulation 23 (11) (a) regarding the
position of front lamps. Spot lights will not be
allowed except with the written approval of the
Licensing Authority.
The attention of the owners of Hiring Cars and
Motor Omnibus is directed to Regulation 50 (2)
of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Regula-
tions S.R. & O. No. 151 of the Revised Laws of
Grenada which require that printed copies of the
Tariffs and Maximum Fares be displayed in such
vehicles. These are now available and may be
purchased at the Treasury, St. Georges, and at
any District Revenue Office at 4 cents per copy.
Vehicles which have been found by the
Inspector to have defects must not be used on the
roads until they have been issued with a Certifi-
cate, certifying that the vehicles may be duly
licensed.

Scholarships 1968/1969

APPLICATIONS are invited for Common-
wealth Scholarships tenable in the United
Kingdom and Canada from October, 1969.
Most of these awards are for post-graduate
study and are available in many fields of study.

under the provisions of Section 26 of the Nutmeg Industry Ordinance will be held on Friday

the prices of mutton, canned salmon, powdered milk, and soda biscuits. This group
index rose by .54 units to 127.76.

Order made by the Governor under the authority of section 5 of the Development Incentives
Ordinance, 1964 (No. 20 of 1964).

1. Short title. This Order may be cited as the

WINDWARDS PULP AND PAPER CO. LTD. ORDER 1968.

2. Development Company and Enterprise. It is here by declared that for the purpose of the
Ordinance, Messrs. Windwards Pulp and Paper Co. Ltd. of the parish of Saint George in the
State of Grenada is hereby declared to be a development company for the purpose of conducting
the following enterprise:-

The manufacture by the Company of Toilet Paper and other paper products.

3. Development Premises. The development premises shall be situate at Cherry Hill, St. George's.

4. Construction Day. 31st December, 1967.

5. Production Day. 1st March, 1958.

6. Tax Holiday Period. The date of commencement and the date of termination of the tax
holiday period shall be the date of this Order and the 28th February, 1975, respectively.

7. Declared Benefit in regard to Income Tax. The declared benefit shall be exemption from
the payment of tax under the Income Tax Ordinance to the extent indicated hereunder or such
profits or gains earned from the operation of the development enterprise which fall to be brought

1. Short title.


the Governor under the Author ly of section 3 of the Wages Councils Ordinance,
(Cap. 309).

This Order may be cited as the
WAGES COUNCIL (DOMESTIC WORKERS) ORDER, 1968.


2. Establishment of Wages Council. There shall be established in respect of the workers to
whom this Order applies, as set out in the Schedule hereto, and their employers, a wages council
to be known as the Domestic Workers Wages Council.

SCHEDULE
Except as herein provided, this order shall apply to persons employed as cooks, house maids,
nurse maids and cleaners in private homes and public institutions:
