NOTICE

Pursuant to the Provisions of Section 3(3) of the
Terms and Conditions of Employment Act, 1968

TIAKE notice that the Minister of Labour has,
pursuant to the provisions of the above-
mentioned Act, received a claim from the
Grenada Manual and Mental Workers' Union
dated July 23rd, 1968, seeking to extend an
agreement dated November llth, 1966, and
entered into by the Agricultural Society of
Grenada and the Grenada Manual and Mental
Workers' Union, to all employers engaged in the
agricultural industry and to all workers engaged
in the said industry.
Copies of the Agreement above referred to
may be obtained at the Office of the Labour
Commissioner during normal working hours.
AND TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that persons
objecting to the above claim should do so in
writing and should set out the specific grounds of
objection: Such objection should be addressed
to the Minister for Labour and should reach him
not later than 27th August, 1968.

British Caribbean Currency Board Notes and
Trinidad and Tobago Notes

DRITISH Caribbean Currency Board and
STrinidad and Tobago Notes will shortly
cease to be legal tender in Grenada and the
public is therefore asked to exchange as soon as
possible and free of charge any such notes in
their possession for EASTERN CARIBBEAN
CURRENCY NOTES.
These exchanges can be made at any of the

Vacancy Grenada Teachers' College


APPLICATIONS are invited from suitably
qualified persons for appointment to two (2)
posts of Tutor at the Grenada Teachers' College.
2. Particulars relating to the posts are as
follows: -
Qualifications
Applicants should be qualified teachers
with a minimum of ten (10) years training
experience and at least one (1) year of
University training.
Duties
(a) Conducting one-year and two-year in-
College Courses in Social Studies,
Language Arts and History of Educa-
tional Ideas.
(b) Supervising the work of young teachers
in Primary Schools.
(c) Such other related duties as may be
assigned from time to time by the
Principal.
Salary
The salary o" the posts is in the sca!e
S3,624 x 180 to $5,604.
A travelling allowance is payable at the
rate of $720 per annum.

Vacant Post of Senior Technical Officer
Industrial Standards Bureau


A PPLICATIONS are invited from suitably
qualified persons for appointment to the
above post.
The salary of the post is in the scale $5,580 x
240-7,320 x 300-7,920 x 360-9,000.
At present the post is a temporary one but it is
proposed to make it permanent and pensionable.
The successful candidate will be expected to
undergo a period of training-possibly overseas
of not less than four to six months-in Industrial
Standards administration. The candidate will also
be expected to enter into a Bond to remain in ,the
Government Service for three years from the date
of completion of his training.
Applicants should be at least 24.years of age
and shoill possess the following qualifications
and exper,.nce:" .
(a) be qualified Engineer B.Cc. first'or second
class honours-mechanical, civil or elec-
trical or membership of a recognized

professional institution in either of these
disciplines;
(b) have some experience in industry of a
productive character, though desirable
this is not essential;
(c) possess some organising ability and
should be competent in handling con-
ferences and committees considering

(d) be able after initial training to address
meetings and seminars and give lectures;
(e) have a working knowledge of French, this
would be of some advantage though not
essential.

NOTICE

Commercial and Domestic Arts Institute

APPLICATION3 are now being accepted for
the full time day school Commercial pro-
gramme to commence in September, 1968.

(a) Stenography
Students study Typwriting, Office Practice,
Bookkeeping and Shorthand. This is an intensive
10 month programme designed to train graduates
.ot fill stenographic positions in local business
-offices and Government Service.
Requirements:(1) Applicants must possess a
pass in the G.C.E. English Langua3e Examina-
tion at Ordinary Level.
(ii) If necessary an entrance examination will
be administered.
NOTE: Since G.C.E. results will not have been
-announced by the closing date, students who
wrote the examination this year may also apply.
(iii) Applicants must submit upon application
(1) A School Report for the last school
year.
(2) A testimonial letter from the Secondary
School Principal.

(b) Typewriting and Office Arts
A 10 month programme designed to train
:graduates to fill jobs as typists and clerks in the
local business offices and Government Service.
Students study Typewriting, Office Practice,
Bookkeeping, Business Fundamentals and Busi-
ness English.
Requirements:(i) Applicants must possess a
-Primary School Leaving Certificate or equivalent.


(ii) An Institute Entrance Examination will be
administered to all applicants and acceptance
will be, determined on the basis of the Examina-
tion results.
Tuition for both courses is $12.00 per term. In
addition students will be required to purchase
their own texts and supplies required.
Interested candidates may apply any time at the
school between 8.30 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. Monday
through Friday. No applications will be accepted
after August 31st.

High Court at Grenada, in its Criminal
Jurisdiction, will be held at the Court House in
the town of Saint George on Tuesday the 1st day
of October, 1968, at 9.00 o'clock in the forenoon
when and where all concerned and bound over to
prosecute or to give evidence or summoned as
jurors or witness are required to give their per-
sonal attendance, and all officers who have taken
inquisitions, depositions, examinations, recogni-
sances or other papers cognisable by the Court are
required to return the same without delay to this-
office.

OTICE is hereby given in accordance with the provisions of section 6 (1) of the Development
Incentives Ordinance, 1964 (No. 20 of 1964) that the Governor proposes to make the Order set
out hereunder.
Any person who objects to the said Order should give notice in writing to the Secretary to the
Cabinet on or before the 31st day of August, 1968.

STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS NO. OF 1968

Order made by the Governor under the Authority of Section 5 of the Development Incentives
Ordinance, 1964 (No. 20 of 1964).
(Gazetted ).


1. Short title. This Order may be cited as the

DEVELOPMENT INCENTIVES (GRENADA CLEANERS LIMITED) ORDER, 1968.

2. Development Company and Enterprise. It is hereby declared that for the purpose of the
Ordinance, Grenada Cleaners Ltd., of Saint George's in the State of Grenada is hereby declared to
be a development company for the purpose of conducting the following enterprise which is hereby
declared to be a development enterprise :-
the operating by the company of the business of cleaners, dry cleaners and launderers in the
Town of Saint George.
3. Development Premises. The development premises shall be situate in the Town of Saint
George.
4. Construction Day. 15th April, 1968.
5. Production Day. 1st June, 1968.
6. Tax Holiday Period. The date of commencement and the date of termination of the tax
holiday period shall be, respectively, the date of this Order and the 31st May. 1975.
7. Declared Benefit in Regard to Income Tax. The declared benefit in regard to income tax shall
be exemption from the payment of income tax under the Income Tax Ordinance to the extent
indicated hereunder on such profits or gains earned from the operation of the development enterprise
which fall to be brought into charge to tax during ihe tax holiday period :-
