Vacancy Grenada Teachers' College

APPLICATIONS are invited from suitably
qualified persons for appointment to two (2)
posts of Tutor at the Grenada Teachers' College.
2. Particulars relating to the posts are as
follows : -
Qualifications
Applicants should be qualified teachers
with a minimum of ten (10) years training
experience and at least one (1) year of
University training.
Duties
(a) Conducting one-year and two-year in-
College Courses in Social Studies,
Language Arts and History of Educa-
tional Ideas.
(b) Supervising the work of young teachers
in Primary Schools.
(c) Such other related duties as may be
assigned from time to time by the
Principal.
Salary
The salary of the posts is in the scale
$3,624 x 180 to $5,604.
A travelling allowance is payable at the
rate of $720 per annum.

Vacant Post of Senior Technical Officer
Industrial Standards Bureau

APPLICATIONS are invited from suitably
qualified persons for appointment to the
above post.
The salary of the post is in the scale $5,580 x
2-0-7,320 x 300-7,920 x 360-9,000.
At present the post is a temporary one but it is
proposed to make it permanent and pensionable.
The successful candidate will be expected to
undergo a period of training-possibly overseas
of not less than four to six months-in Industrial
Standards administration. The candidate will also
be expected to enter into a Bond to remain in the
Government Service for three years from the date
of completion of his training.
Applicants should be at least 24 years of age
and should possess the following qualifications
and experience:
(a) be qualified Engineer B.Cc. first or second
class honours-mechanical, civil or elec-
trical or membership of a recognized
professional institution in either of these
disciplines;


(b) have some experience
productive character,
this is not essential;


in industry of a
though desirable


(c) possess some organising ability and
should be competent in handling con-
ferences and committees considering
techincal problems, ranging over the
entire field of productive industry;
(d) be able after initial training to address
meetings and seminars and give lectures;
(e) have a working knowledge of French, this
would be of some advantage though not
essential.

1)Y virtue of the powers vested in me under
3 Section 80 (1) of the Motor Vehicles and
Road Traffic Ordinance, Cap. 194, page 2556 of
the Revised Laws of Grenada. Vol II, I hereby
order that on Thursday 15th August, 1968,
between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 noon a system
of one way Traffic will be introduced at Queen's
Park as follows: -


ONE WAY TRAFFIC


ENTRY

All vehicles shall proceed to Queen's Park
by way of the Green Bridge on the Western Road.

EXIT
Exit will be by the Wooden Bridge in River
Road.


PARKING


1. Cars bearing White stickers will park inside
the enclosures of the Queen's Park Pavilion.

Planning Unit of the Premier's Office.
Salary of the posts is as follows:

Senior Draughtsman

in the preparation of Architectural and Planning
drawings from design to working drawing stage
and must be able to interpret sketches and super-
vise Site Works.
He must also have an elementary knowledge of
interpretation of Survey drawings and specifica-

should not be over 22 years of age and for the
post of Senior Draughtsman not over the age of
30.
The successful applicants would be required to
prepare drawings and other similar duties under
the Supervision of the Government Architect and

A 10 month programme designed to train
graduates to fill jobs as typists and clerks in the

Requirements: (i) Applicants must possess a
Primary School Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
(ii) An Institute Entrance Examination will be
administered to all applicants and acceptance
will be determined on the basis of the Examina-
tion results.
Tuition for both courses is $12.00 per term. In
addition students will be required to purchase
their own texts and supplies required.
Interested candidates may apply any time at the
school between 8.30 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. Monday
through Friday. No applications will be accepted
after August 31st.

TFOTICE is hereby given in accordance with the provisions of section 6 (1) of the Development
Incentives Ordinance, 1964 (No. 20 of 1964) that the Governor proposes to make the Order set
out hereunder.
Any person who objects to the said Order should give notice in writing to the Secretary to the

GRENADA
STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS NO. OF 1968

Order made by the Governor under the Authority of Section 5 of the Development Incentives
Ordinance, 1964 (No. 20 of 1964).
(Gazetted ).

1. Short title. This Order may be cited as the

DEVELOPMENT INCENTIVES (GRENADA CLEANERS LIMITED) ORDER, 1968.

2. Development Company and Enterprise. It is hereby declared that for the purpose of the
Ordinance, Grenada Cleaners Ltd., of Saint George's in the State of Grenada is hereby declared to
be a development company for the purpose of conducting the following enterprise which is hereby
declared to be a development enterprise :-
the operating by the company of the business of cleaners, dry cleaners and launderers in the
Town of Saint George.
3. Development Premises. The development premises shall be situate in the Town of Saint
George.
4. Construction Day. 15th April, 1968.
5. Production Day. 1st June, 1968.
6. Tax Holiday Period. The date of commencement and the date of termination of the tax
holiday period shall be, respectively, the date of this Order and the 31st May, 1975.
7. Declared Benefit in Regard to Income Tax. The declared benefit in regard to income tax shall
be exemption from the payment of income tax under the Income Tax Ordinance to the extent
indicated hereunder on such profits or gains earned from the operation of the development enterprise
which fall to be brought into charge to tax during ihe tax holiday period :

8. Declared Benefit in Regard to Customs Duty. The declared benefit in regard to customs duty
