IN pursuant of Section 21 (2) of the above Ordi-
nance I hereby give notice that a copy of the
plan and report of Henry W. Ogilvie, Licensed
Land Surveyor, of a survey made on the 7th June,
1968, under the direction of the Director of
Surveys, at the request of Mrs. Melina Vincent,
for the purpose of establishing boundary lines
between lands of Mrs. Melina Vincent and Lucian
Raymond situate at Saint James in the parish of
Saint Andrew, have been lodged at the Chambers
of the Chief Registrar of the West Indies Asso-
ciated States Supreme Court of Grenada.

British Caribbean Currency Board Notes and
Trinidad and Tobago Notes


B RITISH Caribbean Currency Board and
Trinidad and Tobago Notes will shortly
cease to be legal tender in Grenada and the
public is therefore asked to exchange as soon as
possible and free of charge any such notes in
their possession for EASTERN CARIBBEAN
CURRENCY NOTES.
These exchanges can be made at any of the
following Banks in Grenada:
BARCLAYS BANK,D.C.O.
CANADIAN IMPERIAL BANK OF
COMMERCE
BANK OF NOVA SCOTIA
ROYAL BANK OF CANADA.
The public is asked to co-operate by exchang-
ing their BCCB and Trinidad and Tobago notes
as quickly as possible but are requested not to
crowd the banks.
British Caribbean Currency Board coin will
continue to be legal tender in Grenada.

as from 26th June, 1968, until further notice
are:-

(b) Grade II ... 29c. per lb.
(c) Grade I ... 30c. per lb.
Remuneration to Buying (wet cocoa) Agents:
21 cents per lb. for Grade II cocoa
delivered.
3 cents per lb. for Grade I cocoa
delivered.

DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE

Cocoa Industry Improvement Scheme

Distribution of Rooted Cuttings of Selected Strains
of Grenada Cocoa for Planting in 1969

T)ERSONS desirous of obtaining planting
S material from the Cocoa Stations for plant-
ing in 1969 should apply on the forms provided
for that purpose, entitled: "Application Form
for plants Propagated for Distribution by the
Department of Agriculture."
methods at the Cocoa Stations and other plots,
where replanting with rooted Cocoa Cuttings
have already been undertaken.
(2) Application forms should be forwarded in
duplicate to the Cooca Agronomist, Mt. Home
Cocoa Station, St. Andrew's to reach him not
later than 31st August, 1968.
(3) Applications received after the 31st August,
1968 will neither be acknowledged nor considered.
(4) Application forms are available at the
Department of Agriculture, all Agricultural
and Cozoa Stations, and District Revenue Offices.
Application forms can also be obtained from all
members of the extension staff of the Department
of Agriculture.
(5) Rooted Cocoa Cuttings are delivered at a
cost of 5o per plant to the applicant at a point,
as near as possible to the site at which they are to
be planted, and accessible at the time to the motor
vehicle conveying the plants.
(6) The conditions under which planting
material will be issued are as follows: -
(i) The area selected by an applicant will be
inspected by an authorised officer, as soon
as possible after the receipt of the appli-
cation, for the purpose of determining the
suitability of the site in regards to altitude,
soil type, wind protection and other
ecological and environmental conditions.
The applicant will be notified whether or
not the area is approved for planting.
(ii) If for stated reasons the area is declared to
be unsuitable for planting cocoa clones, no
allocation of plants will be made to the
applicant.
(iii) If the area is declared suitable, an
authorised officer will inform the applicant
what minimum action is required of him
by the Department of Agriculture, in
regards to provision of ground shade,
windbreaks, soil conservation measures,
soil preparation etc. The Agricultural
Department will render all assistance,
guidance and service in this connection.
(iv) The minimum area for which plants will
be issued will be that which will contain
fifty (50) rooted cuttings planted at a
spacing of 12ft. x 12ft. in a block.

The area to be planted will be re-inspected by
an authorised officer immediately before the pro-
posed date of delivery of the plants for the
purpose of ascertaining whether all conditions
have been satisfactorily fulfilled, and whether the
area is in a suitable state of preparation for
planting.
(v) Authorised Officers of the Department of
Agriculture, will make periodic inspections
of the replanted areas as often as may be
considered necessary, for the purpose of
observing field conditions, the develop-
ment of the young plants and advising the
growers on the care and management of
the young plants.
(7) Applicants are advised to take advantage
of the experience already gained in replanting
Applicants are accordingly invited to visit the
Cocoa Stations an to make the fullest possible
use of all information that is available.
Please note that:--
A small token charge will be imposed for
citrus, mango, avocado and such economic plants
to be delivered in 1969. This charge bears no
relation to the actual cost of production and will
be imposed with a view to stimulate farmers to
take more care of these plants than in the past,
thus exploiting their full potential.

Exit will be by the Wooden Bridge in River

PARKING


1. Cars bearing White stickers will park inside
the enclosures of the Queen's Park Pavilion.
2. Other Private Cars will park outside the gate
near the Mahogany tree as directed by the
Police.
3. Buses will park on the seaside of the Western
road between its junction with the Queen's
Park Road at the Green Bridge and its
junction with Power Station Road at the
pumping Station.
