Po0ts of Student Draughtsmen

A PPLICATIONS are invited from suitably
A qualified persons for two Posts of Student
Draughtsmen, Public Wotks Division, Ministry
of Communications, Works and Natural Re-
sources, Tanteen, St. George's.
1. Appointment: These Posts are non-pen-
sionable and the Officers will be subject to the
Colonial Regulations, Financial and Store Rules,
and General Orders in force in the State.


2. Qualifications : Prospective Candidates
should possess the School Leaving Certificate,
although higher Educational qualifications will
be considered an asset.
3. Duties: Officers will be required to pursue
an apprOved correspondence course in Draught-
:ng and progress in the persuance of this course
will be considered in assessing their potential.
4. Salary: The salary scale is $1,200 x 60-
$1,620 x 84-$1,788.
5. Taxation: All Government Officers are
liable to taxation imposed by local legislation.
6. Leave: Leave is granted in accordance
with current Regulations.
Further particulars can be obtained from the
Chief Personnel Officer, Service Commission,
Government House, St. George's, Grenada, to
whom applications containing full particulars, in-
cluding qualifications and experience, and
accompanied by two recent testimonials should

Trinidad and Tobago Notes


1RITISH Caribbean Currency Board and
Tr.nidad ard Tobago Notes will shortly
cease to be legal tender in Grenada and the
public is therefore asked to exchange as soon as
possible and free of charge any such notes in
their possession for EASTERN CARIBBEAN
CURRENCY NOTES.
These exchanges can be made at any of the
following Banks in Grenada:
BARCLAYS BANK,D.C.O.
CANADIAN IMPERIAL BANK OF
COMMERCE
BANK OF NOVA SCOTIA
ROYAL BANK OF CANADA.
The public is asked to co-operate by exchang-
ing their BCCB and Trinidad and Tobago notes
as quickly as possible but are requested not to
crowd the banks.

(Cap. 153)
T is hereby notified for general information
that, in pursuance of the powers vested in
him under the Land Acquisition Ordinance
(Cap. 153), the Governor acting in accordance
with the advice of the Cabinet of the State of
Grenada has been pleased to appoint Mr. Ronald
G. Smith to be the Authorised Officer for the
purpose of the Acquisition of the lot of land
mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE


All that lot piece or portion of land containing
by admeasurement about 3,000 sq. ft. English
Statute measure situate at Monckton Street in
the town of St. George in the State of Grenada,
believed to be owned by the Home Industries
Association. The said lot of land is bounded as
follows:

On the north by Texaco Gas Station,
On the west by a Car Park,
On the south by Crown Lands,
On the east by Monckton Street.

NOTICE

Grenada Agricultural Scholarship, 1968

APPLICATIONS are invited for the above
SScholarship tenable at the Faculty of
Agriculture of the University of the West Indies
from October, 1968.
Applicants should not be over the age of 21
years on 31st December, 1968, but a candidate
not over the age of 27 years who is actively
engaged in Agriculture and has been so engaged
for the preceding three years may be considered.
Applicants should satisfy the minimum
entrance requirements for admission to the
University of the West Indies and should, in
addition, have included in their qualifications:
(i) Chemistry: A pass at Ordinary level or
equivalent; and
(ii) Mathematics: normally a pass at Ordinary
level in G.C.E. Examination, or a pass
(instead of a credit) at a School Certificate
Examination. Passes at Ordinary Level
in Physics and at Ordinary or Advanced
Level in Biological subjects are also con-
sidered desirable but are not essential.
Applications should reach the Education
Officer by 31st July, 1968, and should be accom-
panied by-
(a) Birth Certificate or certified copy thereof;
(b) evidence of British Nationality;
(c) testimonials from two persons other than
school teachers under whom education
was received;
(d) testimonials from the Headteachers of
the schools attended, giving all significant
details of school career.
(e) original certification showing qualifications
for admission to the Faculty of Agriculture
of the University of the West Indies;


(f) A medical officer's certificate showing that
the candidate is in a normal state of
health and fit and strong enough to pursue
Universities studies.
Candidates who expect to obtain entrance
requirements on the results of the 1968 G.C.E.
Examination may apply.

of origin set out in Articles 5 and 7 and Annex A of the East Caribbean Common Market.

(a) 'A' means that the article has been wholly produced within that Area;

(b) A Standard International Trade Classification heading means that the article has been produced

(c) "50%" means that the value of any material imported from outside that Area or of undeter
mined origin which have been used at any stage of the production of the articles does not exceed
