ON the advice of the Judicial and Legal Services Commission His Excellency the
Governor has been pleased to confirmm the appointment of Mr. WINSTON F.
CENAC as Attorney-General, Grenada, with effect from 5th June, 1967, and as
Director of Public Prosecutions with effect from 1st January, 1968.

(a) Instrument appointing K. H. C. ALLEYNE, Esq., Q.C., as a Senator ;
(h) Instrument deciding that the office of Attorney-General should cease to be a Public
Office and become the office of a Minister ;
(c) Letter appointing K. H. C. ALLEYNE, Esq., Q.C., to the office of Minister ; and
(d) Letter charging K. H. C. ALLEYNE, Esq., Q.C., with responsibility as Principal Legal
Adviser to the Government of Grenada.

One of Her Majesty's Counsel learned in the law.

BY virtue of the power and authority in me vested under the provisions of section 24(2) (a) of the
Constitution of Grenada, and in accordance with the advice of the Premier, I hereby appoint
you the said KEITH HENNESSEY CONRAD ALLEYNE to be a member of the Senate of Grenada
hereby investing you with all the powers, privileges and authorities to the said office appertaining or
belonging. And all Her Majesty's loving subjects in Grenada and all others whom it may concern
are hereby required to take notice hereof and to govern themselves accordingly.

GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of Grenada at Government House in Grenada
this 29th day of May One thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight and in the Seventeenth
Year of the Reign of Her Majesty QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND.

W HEREAS, it is provided by Section 111 of the Constitution of Grenada that until the Legislature
or, subject to the provisions of any law enacted by the Legislature, the Governor, acting in
accordance with the advice of the Premier, otherwise decides, the office of Attorney-General shall be a
public office.

AND WHEREAS, I, IAN GRAHAM TURBOTT, Governor as aforesaid, acting in accordance with
the advice of the Premier deem it expedient to decide that the office of Attorney-General shall, as from
the 29th day of May One thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight, cease to be a public office.

NOW THEREFORE, I, IAN GRAHAM TURBOTT, Governor as aforesaid, acting in accordance with
the advice of the Premier as aforesaid, DO HEREBY DECIDE that the office of Attorney-General
shall, as from the 29th day of May One thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight, cease to be a public
office and become the office of a Minister.

GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of Grenada at Government House in Grenada
this 29th day of May One thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight and in the Seventeenth
Year of the Reign of Her Majesty Queen ELIZABETH HE SECOND.

with the advice of the Premier, I hereby charge you KEITH HENNESSEY CONRAD ALLEYNE a Minister
of the Government, and one of Her Majesty's Counsel learned in the law, with the responsibility, with
effect from the 29th day of May, 1968, of being the principal legal adviser to the Government of Grenada
and for the following department:
