PEARLS AIRPORT CAFETERIA

E.\LED tenders are invited for lease of the
Pearls Airport Cafet ria which accommodates
a br, lunch room and small kitchen. Ihe cafe
teria is provided with a stove, two refrigerators,
and necessary furniture.
Tne tease will be for a period of 3 years and the
successful applicant will he required ;among other
things:-
(a) to pay for the supply of fuel, electricity
and water and a rental at the r,te of 15%
of the value of all furnishing provided.
(b) To have the stall open and to be ready to
supply light refreshments and snacks to
passengers and visitors of the airport one
hour before the arrival of each plane on a
schedule fl ght and up to one hour after
its departure; provided that if he so
desiies the tenant may remain open at
any time between the hours of 9 a.m. and
7 p.m. but not later.
A draft copy of the Agreement which the
successful applicant will be expected to sign may
be seen at the Ministry of Communications and
Works.
Tenders should be sealed and marked Tender
for Cafeteria and should be addressed to the
Permanent Secretary, Ministry-of Lommunications
and Works.
All tenders should be received at the Ministry of
Communications and Works by 12 noon on 7th
December, 1963.

'TENDERS will he roc-.ived up to rcon on the
J 30tt November, 1963, for the supply of one
fully-equipped Mobile Film Unit fitted with four-
wheel drive. Other equipment to include the
ioJlowing:
(a) Two 1C mm. projectors complete with
microphone and three inch lenses.
*(b) One.81t x .6ftr mitt, surface tubular screen
(for installation on the vehicle).
(c) Two re-entrant type.loudspeakers.
(d) One Microphone with floor stand and impe-
dance matching unit.
(e) One projector stand.


(f) Floodlighting equipment (including cables apd
connectors).
(g) Other accessories and spares relevant to the
above equipment.

and Road Traffic Regulations

motor omnibuses and hiring cars), goods
vehicles and trailers, are hereby 'notified that the
half-yearly inspection of these vehicles will

Owners of such vehicles are advised to pay
inspection fees from now onwards at their respec-
tive Di'strict Revenue Offices arnd then approach
the Inspector of Motor Vehicles at the Traffic
Branch, New Fire Station, in advance with a view
to effecting any alterations that may be necessary
to comply with the provisions of the Motor Vehi-
cles and Road Trai'lc Ordinance, 1938, and of the
Regulations made thereunder.
Vehicles must be presented in a thoroughly clean
condition, and must have been recently overhauled.
The body and wings, axle, chasis, frame, steering


arms, springs, track ods, bake connect:cne,
shackles, bolts, nuts, split pins, engine, engine shield
and case, clutch, gearbox magneto, or coil, air filter,
cirbure tor and working parts must be cleaned in
erder to admit of proper examination. Dust
covers, if used must be removed before presenta-
tion in order to admit of an examination being,
mace in full. All split pins, etc., must be clearly
exposed, also chassis and engine numbers. Driver's
seats must, he securely f-stened so that the driver
can have proper control over the vehicle. ,-pot
lights, musical horns and whistles are strictly
prohibited. Each Vehicle must have its tare and
maximum gross weight painted in white figures
not less than 2a inches in height upon a black
ground in a conspicuous place on the right or
offside of the vehicle.
The Registered Identification ma ks on all
vehicles must conform to provisions of Rlegulations
7, 8 and 9 and the Second Schedule to the Regula-
tions, S.R. & No. 151 and be in such a condition
as to render each letter or figure readily distinguish-
able. The attention of owners 3f Motor Omnibuses
and Goods Vehicles is specially directed to Regula-
tion 23 (11) (a) regarding the position of front
lamps. Spot lights will not he allowed except with
the written approval of the Licensing Authority.
The attention of the owners of Hiring Cars and
Motor Omnibuses is directed to Regulation 50 (2)
of the A\lotor Vehicles and Road Traffic Regulations,
S.R. & O. No. 151 of the Revised Laws of Grenada
which require that painted copies of the Tariffs of
Maximum Fares be displayed in such vehicles.
These are now available and ma,y be purchased at
the Treasury, St George's, and at any Districte
Revenue Office at 4 cents per copy.
Vehicles which have been found by the Inspector
to have dalects must not be used on the roads
until they have been issued with a Certificate,
certifying that the vehicles may be duly licensed.

As a result of the enactment of Exchange Control legislation in British Guiana, movements of
currency notes by travellers from that Territory to othpr Territories participating in the Currency
Agreement appear to have become abnormal since 1962 and the circulation in some Territories, on the
basis of issues less withdrawals, adjusted to take account of Bank transfers, has in consequent become
unrealistic and in fact misleading.
