EDUCATION NOTICE

COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIPS 1964

APPLICATIONS are invited for Commonwealth
Scholarships tenable in the United Kingdom
from October, 1964.
Most of these awards are for post-graduate
courses and are available in many fields of study.
A few awards are also available at the under-
graduate level to students who wish to take
courses not available at the University of the West
Indies.
Application forms are available at the Education
Office and the completed forms accompanied by
the Candidate's plan of study, the certified record
of the university or other course he has taken,
and the references from each of the three persons
named in the relevant question on the application
form mst reach the Education Officer on or
before 31st October, 1963. .
It is the applicant's responsibility tov. ensure
that confidential letters from the referees named
in his application reach the Education Officer
(direct from the referee) by 31st October, 1963.

NOTICE IGRENADA

APPLICATIONS are invited from youug women In The Sup
between the ages of 18 and 35 years to pursue Island
a twenty weeks course of training in housewifery,
table service and care of children.
The course will be designed to train interested
persons for employment in local homes and in
hotels and it will be divided into two parts each of LILITH PREI
ten weeks duration.
Classes will be held at the St. George's House-
craft Centre; the Carmelite R. C. School, Grand FITWYN PIL


Anse; the Grenville Housecraft Centre and the
Sauteurs Practical Training Centre on two after-
noons a week.
Applications stating age, education and ex-
periences should be addressed to the Labour Com-
missioner, St. George's and should reach him not
later than 20th September, 1963.
Candidates will be required to pay a fee of $5.00
before commencement of training.

GENERAL ELECTION

TAKE Notice that I will attend at the District
Board Office, Grenville on Thursday, 19th
September, 1963 between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and
11.00 a.m. for the purpose of receiving nominations
for the return of (7) seven persons to serve as
members of the St. Andrew's District Board for
triennial period commencing 1st October, 1963.
In the event of a contest polls will be opened at
the District Board premises (Temporary Court
House) and the Court House Grenville from 7.00
a.m.-11.30 a.m. and from 1.00 p.m.-4.00 p.m. on
Thursday 26th September, 1963 during which time
ballot papers will be issued to every registered
voter applying for same.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Session of the
Supreme Court of the Windward Islands and
Leeward Islands at Grenada, in its Criminal
Jurisdiction, will be held at the Court House in the
town of Saint George on Monday the 7th day of
October, 1963, at 9.30 o'clock in the forenoon when
and where all concerned and bound over to prosecute
or to give evidence or summoned as Jurors or
witnesses are required to .give their personal
attendance, and all officers who have taken Inqui-
sitions, Depositions Examinations, Recognisances
or other papers cognisable by the Court are required
to return the same without delay to this office.
