DETAIL of procedure to be followed on the
occasion of the Parade at Queen's Park, St.
George's, Grenada to. celebrate the Birthday of Her
Majesty the Queen
1. The following will take part in the Parade:-
(a) A detatchment of the Grenada Police
Force, under Mr! L.. C. Phillip, A.S.P.
(b) A detatchment of the Grenada Volunteer
Constabulary under Mr. B. Roberts,
A.S.-GG.Y.C.
(c) A Oetchmentgf.,ihq G-.B.S.S. ,Cadet Corps
S under second Lieutenant B. J. L.
Coomansingh.
(d) Mechanical transport section (Police and
Fire Brigade).
The following are invited to attend:-
(a). Boy Scouts under Island Commissipner.
(b) Girl Guides under Island Commissioner....

Band plays first six bars of the National Anthem.
Parade Commander reports to His Honour.
6. His Honour inspects the Parade.
7. Immediately after the inspection, His Honour
will return to the Saluting Base. Parade will then
march past in column of Platoon..
8. On return to original position, His Honour
will move to a position on the flank and his Flag
will be lowered.
9. Royal Salute. Royal Standard will be broken.
National Anthem is played.
10. Parade Commander orders : "Slope Arms
-Order Arms-Unfix Bayonets-Parade will fire

dress. His Honour calls for three cheers for Her
Majesty the Queen. Parade Commander orders:

(i) The area selected by an applicant will be
inspected by an authorised officer as soon
as possitbi' fteiF the receipt of the applica-

ecological and environmental conditions.
The applicant will then be notified whether
or not the area is approved for planting.
{ii) If for stated reasoris the area is declared to
be unsuitable for planting cocoa clones, no
allocation of plants will be made to the
applicant.
,(iii) If the area is declared suitable, an' author-
ised-officer will inform the applicant what
minimum action is required of him by the
Department of Agriculture, in regard to
provision of ground shade, windbreaks, soil
conservation measure, soil propagation etc.
The Agricultural Department will render all
assistance, guidance and advice in this
connection.
(iv) The minimum area for which plants will be
issued will be that which will contain fifty
(50) rooted cuttings planted at a spacing of
12ft. x 12ft. in a block.

APPLICATIONS are invited for appointment to
the post of: Superintendent, Government
Printing Office, St. Lucia, which is. expected to
become vacant in October, 1963. Applicants should
have experience in Printing Administration and/or
training in a recognized Printing School.
2. The salary of the post is in the scale $3',876x
180-$4,596 per annum. The actual point of entry
in the scale will be dependent on the qualification
and experience of the candidate selected. The
appointment is pensionable, and is subject to two
years probation ir the first instance.
3. The Officer will be responsible for the Admin-
istration and general control of the Government
Printing Office, Quarters are not provided. Other
conditions of service including leave of absence,
passages, medical attention etc., will be in accord-
ance with normal Government practice in St. Lucia.
Applications, on the prescribed form, should be

OWNERS of public service vehicles (including
motor omnibuses and hiring cars), goods
vehicles and trailers, are hereby notified that the
half-yearly inspection of these vehicles will
commence as follows: -

Owners of such vehicles are advised to pay
inspection fees from now onwards at their respec-
tive District Revenue Offices and then approach
the Inspector of Motor Vehicles at the Traffic
Branch, New Fire Station, in advance with a view
to effecting any alterations that may be necessary
to comply with the provisions of the Motor
Vehicles and Road Traffic Ordinance, 1938, and
of the Regulations made thereunder.
Vehicles must be presented in a thoroughly
clean condition, and must have been recently
overhauled. The body and wings, axle, chassis,
frame, steering arms, springs, trackrods, brake


connections, shackles, bolts, nuts, split pins,
engine,. engine shield and case, clutch, gearbox,
magneto or coil, air filter, carburettor and all
working parts must be cleaned in order to admit
of proper examination. Dust covers, if used, must
be removed before presentation in order to admit
of an examination being made in full. All split
pins, etc., must be clearly exposed, also chassis
and engine numbers. Drivers' seats must be
securely fastened so that the driver can have
proper control over the vehicle. Spot lights,
musical horns, and whistles are strictly prohibited.
Each vehicle must have its tare and maximum
gross weight painted in white figures not less than
21 inches in height upon a black ground in a
conspicious place on the right or offiside of the
vehicle.
The registered identification marks on all
vehicles must conform to provisions of Regula-
tions 7, 8 and 9 and the Second Schedule to the
Regulations, No. 35 of 1958, and be in such a
position as to render each letter or figure readily
distinguishable. The attention of owners of motor
omnibuses and goods vehicles is specially directed
to Regulation 23 (1) (a) regarding the position of
front lamps. Spot lights will not be allowed except
with the written approval of the Licensing
Authority.
The attention of the owners of hiring cars and
and Road Traffic (Amendment) Regulations,
motor omnibuses is directed to the Motor Vehicles
No. 6 of 1944, as amended by the Motor Vehicles
and Road Traffic (Amendment No. 2) Regulations,
No. 70 of 1946 which require that printed copies
of the tariffs of maximum fares be displayed in
such vehicles. These are now available and may
be purchased at the Treasury, St. George's and at
any District Revenue Office, at 4 cents per copy.
Vehicles which have been found by the Inspector
to have defects must not be used on the roads
until they have been issued with a certificate,
certifying that the vehicles may be duly licensed.

AUTHORITY AUTHORITY


Resolution giving Notice of a Decision to Zone an
Area within the Parish of St. George


(Section 5 of the Town and Country Planning
Ordinance, 1946 No. 3 of 1946)


THE following resolution which was passed at a
meeting of the Central Authority held on the
19th March, 1963, is published for general infor-
mation:-
RESOLUTION

WHEREAS the Central Authority have decided
to prepare a scheme for the zoning of land within
the parish of St. George (whether public or pri-
vately owned), reserving it for specific purposes;
such purposes to include agriculture, forestry,
industry, commerce, housing and open spaces.
BE IT RESOLVED that the Central Authority
for the above-mentioned purposes do hereby declare
that the area of land hereinafter described shall be
zoned in accordance with the provisions of the
Town and Country Planning Ordinance, 1946 (No.
3 of 1946); that is to say:
All that area of land bounded by a line commenc-
ing at the junction of St. George's main road and
the Fontenoy-Bellevue road, along the Bellevue
road to its junction with tle Grand Etang road
along the Grand Etang road to its junction with
the Boca road along the Boca road to its junction
with Snug Corner, Mt. Parnassus road to its junc-
tion with the MIt. Parnassus estate road along the
Mt. Parnassus estate road to its junction with the
Madigras road and along the Madigras road to the
Good Hope Estate road and continuing along the
Good Hope Estate road to its junction with the St.
George's main road. Along the St. George's main
road to its junction with the Mt. Airie Path then
along the Mt. Airie Path to its junction with Hope
Vale Estate road then along Hope Vale Estate
road to the La Borie road to the Dry River Cause-
way. Then along the La Borie Road to a point on
the top rid;c of Cahivigny Estate along the ridge in
a westerly direction until it meets the lone
Jaloux road near the Church then continuing along
the Morne Jaloux road at its unciLij with WVobrn'n
road. Then along the Sp ings-Caliviiny road until
it meets the Woodlands Sug Lr Facany; road. Then
along the Grand Anse road to the highest poini ,of
Government land S.utih of Morne Rouge along the
ridge which forms the .-a.cuthern boundary fo Gov-
ernment land to a point to the nurth.oastern boun-
dary of the Leper Settlement thence to the sea
along the sea coast to the point of commencement.
(In all cases, where a road, path or river is given
as a boundary, the scheme shall be deemed to
include an area of laud 300 ft. in width outside the
:said boundary).

THE following resolution which was passed at a
meeting of the Central Authority is published
for general information :-

REGOLUTION

BE IT RESOLVED that with reference to a
Resolution of the Central Authority passed on the
19th day of March, 1963, declaring their decision
to zone the area of land set out and described in
the said Resolution, the Central Authority have
this 9th day of March, 1963, in accordance with
the provisions of the section 13 (1) (b) of the Town
and Country Planning Ordinance, 1946 (No 3 of
1946), placed a prohibition on the development of
land in the said area, so far as the erection of new
buildings and the alteration to, extensive repairs
or renewal of, any building in the said area is
concerned; save as may be granted under the
provisions of section 13 (1) (a) of the said
Ordinance.
