Mahoe and Honduras Mahogany plants are
available for distribution during 1963.

NOTICE

THE attention of the Public is drawn to the
following amende-: sections of the Road
Ordinance", Cap. 197 of the Laws of Grenada:-
SECTION 30.
(1) No house, building or other structure of
whatever kind shall be erected within
eighteen feet from the centre of the road :
Provided that the provision of this section shall
not apply to any house, building or
structure within the boundaries of any
town.
(2) If any house, building or other structure of
whatever kind is erected in contravention
of this section, the Road Authority may
give fourteen days' notice in writing to the
owner of the land on which such house or
building or other structure of whatever
kind is erected to remove the same.
(3) If the person to whom such notice is given
fails to comply therewith within the time
specified therein, he shall be liable to a fine
not exceeding the sum of one pound for
every day during which he continues to
make default and tie Road Authority may
cause the house or building or other
structure of whatever kind to be removed,
and may recover the expenses incurred in
so doing from the person in default.
SECTION 33.
Any person who without lawful excuse-
(j) plants any tree, or hedge or erects any fence
within 18'0' from the centre of a road shall
be liable on conviction to a fine not exceed-
ing twenty pounds (20) penalty; and in
addition, to the payment of the co-t
occasioned by the damage done or by the
removal of the obstruction.

IT is hereby notified that Bohm & Haas Company,
a corporation organised under the Laws of the
State of Delaware, U.S.A., of 222 West Washington
Square Philadelphia 5, State of Pennsylvania,
U.S.A., have applied for a patent by the following

"Water Insoluble Metal Complexed Manea-

Composition comprising same and process for

which title speaks for itself and which patent
comprises one or more of the metals: cobalt,

VACANT POST OF MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH,
GRENADA


APPLICATIONS are invited from suitably
qualified candidates for appointment to the
vacant post of Medical Officer of Health in the
Medical services, Grenada.
Duties of Post : Special charge of all clinics.
conducted or emanating f:om Health Centres in
relation to a programme of Preventive Medicine
stipulated by the Medical Department, including
Veneral Diseases, School Health Work and Port
Health Work.
Appointment : Pensionable or on contract for
3 years, if preferred, subject to medical fitness.
Qualifications : D.P.H. or equivalent degree
or diploma registerable in the United Kingdom.
Spec:alised knowledge of V. ). is desirable.
Salary : The post carries a salary of $7,680
Private consultant prilctice in V.D. is permitted
but private practice is no; allom ed.
Allowances : A travelling allowance of $1,500
per annum is payable.
Further particulars can he obtained from the
Secreta.'y to government Administrator's Office,
Grenada, to whom applications, stating qualifica-
tions, age and experience, accompanied by at least
two copies of testimonials must be submitted to
reach him not later than 30th April, 1963.

there will be offered for sale at the Registrar's
Office, St. George's, on Friday the 26th day of
April, 1963, at 12.00 o'clock noon ALL the right
title and interest of the above-named defendant
in:-
ALL THAT estate called Palmiste containing
four hundred and sixty acres approximately


situate in St. John bounded as described in the
Indenture dated on or about 17th April, 1926,
made between Mary Ann McPhail and Others and
Ruggles Low Ferguson recorded in the Deeds and
Land Registry of Grenada in Liber 18 at page 814
SAVE and EXCEPT the premises known as
the Palmiste Beach Club.
The interest of the Defendant in the said estate
is believed to be:-
1.-An undivided quarter in fee simple in
possession subject to an executory devise over in
favour of Donald Ferguson and Clayton Ferguson
in the event of the death of the defendant without
having had issue who shall have attained the age
of twenty-one years.
2.-Another undivided quarter in fee simple in
possession (formerly the property of Monica
Blackburn) subject to an executory devise over in
favour of the said Donald Ferguson and Clayton,
Ferguson in the event of the said Monica
Blackburn dying without having had issue who
shall have attained the age of twenty-one years.
3.-A contingent interest in another quarter ini
the event of the said Donald Ferguson dying
without having had issue who shall have attained
the age of twenty-one years.
4.-A contingent interest in another quarter in
the event of the said Clayton Ferguson dying
without having had issue who shall have attained
the age of twenty-one years which above interests
are subject:-
1.-As to the Defendant's two undivided quarter
shares to a mortgage dated 8th July, 1955, made
between the Defendant Monica Blackburn and
Creymon Prayag and the Incorporated Trustees of
the Church of England and recorded in the Deeds
and Land Registry of Grenada in Liber R 9 page
466 upon which $14,400.00 with interest thereon
from 9th April, 1958, at the rate of $7.00 per
centum per annum is owing.
2.-As to the Defendant's original quarter share
to a mortgage dated 8th September, 1958, made
between the Defendant and Clayton Ferguson
aforesaid and recorded in the Deeds and Land
Registry of Grenada in Liber V 8 page 736 upon
which $3,360.00 with interest thereon from 9th
September, 1955, at the rate of $7.00 per centum
per annum is owing.
3.-A charge in favour of the Government of
Grenada upon the Defendant's interest and interest
of the said Clayton Ferguson for $48,288.14 under
the Agriculture Rehabilitation Ordinance. The
above is being sold free from judgments against
the said Defendant as far as known.
The sale is subject to the usual conditions of
sale, > copy of which can be seen at the Registrar's
Office and to the REDUCED RESERVE PRICE
of $9,005.84.
