tion of the following Imperial Legislation
with this issue of the Gazette :-
The West Indies (Retirement and Compensation)
(Amendment) Order in Council, 1963.
2nd March, 1963.


INCOME TAX NOTICE

ALL persons required to submit Income Tax
Returns for the year of as-essment 1963 are
asked to note that:-
(i) the closing dates for submission are:
(a) February 28th in case of Employers'
Returns; and
(b) March 31st in the case of other returns.
2 Failure to submit returns on or before the
dates specified, unless exempted on written appli-
cation made before the closing dates, renders a
taxpayer liable to a penalty not exceeding 100%
.of the tax payable.
3. Every person who negligently makes any
false return or gives any false information cr mis-
leads or attempts to mislead the Commissioner in
relation to any matter or thing affecting his own
,or any other persons' liability to taxation according


to the Ordinance sh:ll be liable on summary
conviction to a fine not exceeding seven hundred
and fifty dollars.

PUBLIC NOTICE

THE attention of the public is invited to section
3 of the Stamp (Amendment) Ordinance
No. 10 of 1952, which provides that if any
person -
(a) gives a receipt liable to duty and not duly
stamped; or
(b) in any case where a receipt would be liable
to duty neglects or refuses to give a receipt
duly stamped; or
(c) upon payment of the amount of one pound
or upwards gives a receipt for a sum not
amounting to one pound, or separates or
divides the amount paid with intent to
evade duty;
he shall incur a fine not exceeding ten pounds.
2. It is to be noted that the expression receipt
includes a cash bill for goods purchased at stores
or shops or elsewhere, but does not include receipts
in respect of locally grown unmanufactured
products.

Town and Country Planning Regulations, 1948
No. 3 of 1948


SOTICE is hereby given that a certified copy of
a draft resolution and map for the prepara-
tion of a scheme for development of the area
herein described will be open for inspection at the
office of the Central Authority, Public Works
Department, Tanteen, St. George's, between the
hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily (except on
Saturday when the hours will be 10 a.m. to
11.30 a.m.)
Any representations or objections thereto
should be sent in writing to the Secretary and
Executive Officer, Central Authority, Public
Works Department, Tanteen, St. George's,
within fourteen days from the date of this notice.
Description of area :

All that area of land bounded by a line
commencing at the junction of St. George's
main road and the Fontenoy-Bellevue road,
along the Bellevue road to its junction with
the Grand Etang road along the Grand Etang
road to its junction with the Boca road,
along the Boca road to its junction with
Snug Corner, Mt. Parnassus road to its
junction with the Mt. Parnassus estate road
along the Mt. Parnassus estate road to its
junction with the Madigras road and along
the Madigras road to the Good Hope Estate
road and continuing along the Good Hope
Estate road to its junction with the St.
George's main road. Along the St. George's
main road to its junction with the Mt. Airie
Path then along the Mt. Airie Path to its
junction with Hope Vale Estate road then
along Hope Vale Estate road to the La Borie
road to the Dry River Causeway. Then along
the La Borie road to a point on the topridge
of Calivigny Estate along the ridge in a
westerly direction until it meets the Morne
Jaloux road near the Church then continuing
along the Morne Jaloux road at its junction
with Woburn road. Then along the Springs-
Calivigny road until it meets the Woodlands
Sugar Factory road. Then along the Grand
Anse road to the highest point of Govern-
ment land south of Morne Rouge along the
ridge which forms the southern boundary
of Government land to a point to the north-
eastern boundary of the Leper Settlement
thence to the sea along the sea coast to the
point of commencement.

(In all cases, where a road, path or river
is given as a boundary, the scheme shall be
deemed to include an area of land 300 feet in
width outside the said boundary).

TAXES MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE

T is hereby notified for general information that
the Magistrate, Southern District will hold a
special session at the Maigistrate's Court, St.
George's, on Tuesday, 9th April, 1963 at 9.00 o'clock
in the forenoon, for the purpose of hearing objections
to, and appeals against the Assessment made by
the Tax Officer.
Any person desirous of making objections to, or
appealing against an assessment should give notice
in writing to the Magistrate not later than 30th
March, 1963 of his intention.
