No. 3 of 1963.-An Ordinance further to amend
the Wild Animals and Birds (Sanctuary)
Ordinance.
No. 4 of 1963 -An Ordinance to repeal the
Electricity Supply Ordinance.
Copies of these Ordinances may be seen at the
Government Office, the Public Library, the Treas-
ury, District Revenue Offices, Post Offices and
Police Stations.

for the Colonies has notified the Administrator
that the Queen will not be advised to exercise Her
l ajesty's power of disallowance with respect to
the following Ordinance of the Grenada Legisla-
ture:-

the Criminal Code.

THE attention of the public is invited to section
3 of the Stamp (Amendment) Urdinance
No. 10 of 1952, which provides that if any
person-
(a) gives a receipt liable to duty and not duly
stamped; or
(b) in any case where a receipt would be liable
to duty neglects or refuEes to give a receipt
duly stamped; or

(c) upon payment of the amount of one pound
or upwards gives a receipt for a sum not
amounting to one pound, cr separates or
divides the amount paid with intent to
evade duty;
he shall incur a fine not exceeding ten pounds.
2. It is to be noted that the expression receipt
includes a cash bill for goods purchased at stores
or shops or elsewhere, but dces not include receipts
in respect of locally grown unmanufactured
products.

INCOME TAX NOTICE

THE Income Tax Ordinance states :

Every person chargeable with tax shall,
on or before the prescribed date in every year,
deliver to the Commissioner a true and correct
return of the whole of his income from every
source whatsoever for the year immediately
preceding the year of assessment, and shall, if
absent from the Colony, give the name and
address of an agent in the Colony."
2. Notices of Return have been sent out by the
Inland Revenue Department, but it is the duty of
taxpayers to ensure that they get such a form and
make a return as required by law. (Forms are
obtainable from the District Revenue Officers).
3. Failure to submit such a Return within the
prescribed time renders the taxpayer liable to a
penalty not exceeding 100% of the tax payable.

NOTICE

OTICES of Employers Returns have been sent
to all Employers and Heads of Government
Departments, and the co operation oi thcseo
employers is requested so that the returns may be
received at the Inland Revenue Department as
early as possible and not later than the 28th
February next.
The Income Tax Ordinance No. 32 of 1956
provides that it shall be the duty of every
employer to send in such a return. Failure to do
so within the prescribed period carries a penalty
not e.xc eding $750.00.

N O !ICE is hereby given that a Session of the
Supreme Court of the Windward Ilands and
Leeward Islands at Grenada, in its Criminal
Jurisdiction, will be held at the Court House in the
town of Saint George cn Tuesday the 19th day of
February, 1963, at 9.30 o'clock in the forenoon
when and where all concerned and bound over to
prosecute or t) give evidence or summoned as
Jurors or witnesses are required to give their
personal attendance, and all officers who have taken
Inquisitions, Depositions, Examinations, Recog-
niances or other piper cognisable by the Ccurt are
required to return tle same without delay to this
office.

lands now or formerly of Manson Modeste and
towards the South by lands of the estate of
Charles Modeste together with all buildings
thereon AND ALSO ALL THAT lot of land
on Sendall Street aforesaid bounded on the East
by lands of Perseverance Lodge of the G.U.O of
Oddfellows on the West by lands now or formerly
of Nelcia Nash on the South by an Allowed Road
and on the North by lands formerly of Arthur
Wallace. The two lots are contiguous and are
sold as one lot.
The sale is subject to the usual conditions of
sale, a copy of which may be seen at this office
and to the REDUCED RESERVE PRICE of
$3,366.87.

Grenada and bounded North by premises formerly
of Harriet and Clifford D6ttin, South by premises


formerly of Louise Ethel Martin, East by Scott
Street and West by premises of the beneficiaries
under the Will of John Hamilton Vernon Mahy,
deceased or howsoever bounded together with all
buildings and erections thereon being the balance
of the hereditaments of which an undivided moiety
was conveyed by Eva William Charles by William
Llewellyn Charles by an Indenture dated 30th
August, 1921, recorded in the Deeds and Land
Registry in Liber G 8 at page 351 remaining after
deducting therefrom the portion thereof which was
conveyed by the said Eva William Charles to
Louise Ethel Martin by an Indenture dated 15th
October, 1938, recorded in the Deeds and Land
Registry in Liber X 8 at page 959.
The sale is subject to the usual conditions of
sale, a copy of which may be seen at this office and
to the REDUCED RESERVE PRICE of
$12,769.39.
