Vacant Posts-School Attendance
Officers (2)-Grenada

APPLICATIONS are invited for two vacant
posts of School Attendance Officer. The
sal:try will be in the scale $1,560 x $120.-$2,520.
In addition a travelling allowance of $720 per
annum will be paid.
Each officer will be assigned to one of two
divisions into which the Territory will be divided
and will be responsible to the Education Officer for
the perforianndeof his/her duties.
Applications, which must be accompanied by at
le;ist two testimonials, must reach the Secretary
of the Public Service Commission, Administrator's
Office, Grenada; by 15th May, 1962.

APPLICATIONS are invited for the post of
Transport Officer, Public Works Department;
Grenada, particulars of which are as follows:-
Appointment :
(a) The appointment is on probation for a period
of two years from the date of assumption of
duties, but this period may be extended by
the Administrator. On the satisfactory
completion of the period of probation the
officer will be eligible for confirmation in hisi
(b) The officer will be subject to Colonial Regiula-
tions and to the local General Orders in force
for the time being in so far as they are
Salary: The salary is a flat $1,920.00 per
Duties : The officer will be required to assist
the Engineering Assistant (Mechanical) in pre-
paring proper records of and accounting for all
publicc Works Department plant and vehicles. He
will also be required to carry out any other duties
as may from time to time be required by the
Director of Public Works directly or through the
Engineering Assistant (Mechanical).
Applications, which should be accompanied by
at least two testimonials, must be submitted to
the Secretary, Public Service Commission, not
later than 15th May, 1962.

Vacant Post Of School Gardening
Officer, Grenada

PPLICATIONS are invited from suitably
qualified persons for the vacant post of
School Gardening Officer. The salary will be in
the scale $2,052 x $96- $2,148 x $144 $2,724.
In addition a travelling allowance of $1,203 per
annum will be paid.
The duties of the post are--
(a) To hold Saturday morning and vacation
classes for teachers in Rural Science at the
discretion of the Education Officer.
(b) To visit schools for the purpose of conduct-
ing demonstration lessons in Rural Science,
directing class teachers in the teaching of
this subject and establishing school gardens.
(c) To consult with and advise Head Teachers
on the organisation of classes and the
curriculum and equipment for the teaching
of Ruial Science.
(d) To serve as Examiner in Rural Science in
departmental examinations.
Applications accompanied by a statement and
proof of qualifications and experience and at least
two testimonials, must reach the Secretary of the
Public Service Commission, Administrator's Office,
Grenada, by 15th May, 1962.
