NOTICE


STATIONS)


IN accordance with the provisions of the Customs
Ordinance, 1960, (No. 9d of 1960), I hteeby give
notice as follows :-
1. Short title. This Notice may be olted as the
CUSTOMS (BOARDING STATIONS)
NOTICE, 1962.
2. Boarding Stations. T'he stations and places
specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby appoint-
ed boarding stations fot all the purposes of the said
Ordinaince.
3. Cancellation. The Customs Boarding Sta-
tions Notice, 1961 contained in Gazatte No. 26 of
16th May, 1961, is hereby cancelled.
SCHEDULE
BOARDING STATIONS FOR SHIPS
ST. (IEORGE'S: any pace of suitable depth
in that area of water in the Outer Harbour lying to
the West of an imaginary line drawn from bort
George Point to St. Elois Point: provided that
ships of less than 2.50 net registered tons may bring
to for the the purpose of being boarded in a suitable
depth of waler at any place in the Inner Harbour
at a distance of not less than 150 feet from any
Wharf, Quay, Pier or Jetty (excluding the Lagoon).
GRENVILLE: any place within the limits of
the Port.


THE following documents are circulated with and HILLSBOROUGH: any place within the
form part of this Gazette limits of the Port.

In Ihe Matter Of The Land Acquisition
Ordinance, 1945 (No. 3 of 1945)

And
In the matter of a Declaration by the
Administrator in Council that certain
lands situate in the parish of St. Mark in
the Territory of Grenada are to be acquir-
ed for a public purpose.

DECLARATION OF ACQUISITION OF LAND
(First Publication)

VT HEREAS it is enacted by Section 3 of the land
Acquisition Ordinance, 1945, (No. 3 of 1945)
that if the Administrator in Council considers that
any land should be acquired for a public purpose
he may cause a declaration to that effect to be made.
AND WHEREAS it is considered by the
Administrator in Council that the land mentioned
and described in the Schedule hereto should be
acquired for a public purpose, to wit, for a Recrea-
tion Ground, and to facilitate persons in the collec-
tion of gravel for sale.
NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby declared by
His Honour the Administrator, acting after con-
sultation with the Executive Council of the Colony
of Grenada, that upon the second publication
of this declaration in the Gazette, the
land mentioned and described in the Schedule
hereto shall be acquired for the abovementioned
purposes and shall vest absolutely in the Crown.
AND IT IS HEREBY FURTHER DECLARED
AND NOTIFIED that the land referred to at
Victoria in the parish of St. Mark's is approxi-
mately half an acre.

SCHEDULE

All that portion of land part of Bon Aire Estate
Sin the parish of St. Mark in the Territory of
Grenada owned by Charlie A. Phillips and others
being in area approximately half an acre more or
less, bounded on the Nortn by the Public Latrine,
on the South by the St. Mark's river, on the East
by tie Public Main Road from Gouyave to Sauteurs
and on the West by the sea.

Ordinance, 1945 (No. 3 of i915)

Notification of Preliminary Survey (under
Section 4 of the Ordinance)

'W HEREAS it is enacted by Section 4 of the
Land Acquisition Ordinance, 1945, (No. 3
of 1945) that if it appears to the Administrator in
Council that any land is likely to be required for
any purpose which, in the opinion of the Adminis-
trator in Council is a public purpose and it is
necessary to make a preliminary survey of other
investigations to that effect to be published in the
Gazette :


AND WHEREAS the Administrator in Council
considers that-
a portion of land part of Bon Aire Estate in the
parish of St. Mark in the Territory of
Grenada. owned by Charlie A. Phillips
and others being in area approximately
half an acre more or less :
AND WHEREAS it is necessary to make a pre-
liminary survey and other investigations of the said
portion of land :
NOW THEREFORE this is to require all
persons interested to allow D. K. SAMUELS, Lands
Officer, who has been appointed Authorised
Officer for the purpose (and his agents, assistants
and workmen) to do all the things authorised
by law.

NOTICE

The Foreign Compensation (Roumania)
Order, 1961

BTHE above Order in Council, obtainable from
. Her Majesty s Stationery Office (<.I., 1961,
No. 1832, price 6d.), provides for the distribution of
compensation payable by the Roumanian Govern-
ment under the Anglo-Roumanian Agreement of the
10th of November, 1960 (Cmnd. 1232).
The Agreement provided for the payment of Her
Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom
by the Roumanian Government of the sum of
1,250,000 in full and final settlement of the
following :
(a) All obligations of the Roumanian Government
to the United Kingdom and British nationals
in respect of claims, other than those referred
to in the Schedule to the Agreement, arising
oit of or presented under Article 24 of the
Treaty of Peace with Ronmania.
(b) All claims, other than those referred to in the
said Schedule, in respect of British property
affected prior to the 10th of November,
19i60, by any measure .f nationalisation,
expropriation, State administration liquid-
ai. n, or other similar measure taken by the
Roumanian Governnent.
The claims referred to in the Schedule are those
of the British nationals there named and are in
respect of property, rights and interests, including
debts, connected with direct ownership of or parti-
cipation in oil companies in Boumania.
The compensation is payable by the Roumanian
Government in six annual instalments beginning on
the 31st January, 1962, and these will be dis-
tributed at suitable intervals.
'lhe Order in Council empowers the Foreign
Compensation Commission, 1 Princes Gate, London,
S. W. 7., to receive applications to participate in
the distribution of compensation, from individuals,
corporations, firms and associations and to de-
termine claims in accordance with the Order.
Prospective applicants should write to the Com-
mission as soon as possible.
Applications under the Order must reach the
Commission on or before the 1st October, 1962.

goods will take place at the Queen's Warehouse on
the St. George's Pier at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday,
12th April, 1962.
A list of the goods to be sold may be seen at the
office of the Collector of Customs, St. George's or
at the Queen's Warehouse on the St. George's Pier.

powdered detergents and other cleansing preparations is hereby declared to be a pioneer industry for
the purpose of the Aid to Pioneer Industries Ordinance, 1952; and such manufactured products are
hereby declared to be pioneer products for the said purposes.
