HONOURABLE R. O. WILLIAMS, J.P., Member without Portfolio, has been authorised to act as
Chief Minister in the Grenada Government with effect from 16th February, 1962, and during
the absence from the Territory of Honourable E. M. GAIRY.

BY virtue of the power and authority in me vested by subsection (1) of section 15 of the Grenada
(Constitution) Order in Council, 1959, I do hereby authorise you the said RALPH ORLANDO
WILLIAMS to act as Chief Minister in and for the Colony of Grenada and to have and exercise all the
functions and authority appertaining to that office during the absence from the Colony of the Honourable
ERIC MATTHEW GAIRY, Chief Minister.
GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony of Grenada at Government
House in the said Colony this 17it day of February in the year of Our Lord One
thousand nine hundred and sixty-two and in the Eleventh Year of the Reign of
Her Majesty QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND.
GOD SAVE THE QUEEN.
