CENSUS NOTICE

IN a day or two Enumerators will have completed
their first round of visits in this big Grenada
1960 Census operation. If you and your home
have not been visited by Saturday April 2nd latest
-if the information concerning you has not yet
been collected by the particular Enumerator-it is
time to feel alarm. Get busy, because you may be
left out entirely Get in touch immediately with
the nearest Police Station, and ask for advise. You
will be directed and helped to reach the Census
Supervisor of your District, or, failing your own
Supervisor, the Census Officer himself, by telephone,
letter or personal contact. Please, make sure that
you are in the count !
2. Every person is also earnestly requested to
make the necessary sacrifice and refrain from
arranging or attending public or private gatherings,
social or otherwise, including cinemas, teen-ager

parties, smokers or else, on this one (1) night of the
year 1960, namely Thursday April 7th-8th.
Taking part in General Post, or moving about on
this particular evening and night, unnecessarily
complicates the work for Enumerators and may
seriously' impair the Census. It can defeat 411
efforts to get an accurate record of the position,
So, every one is b-ine asked to co-operate to the
fullest extent by seeing that he or she gets counted
in the right place.
Thank you.
A. L. DOPWELL,
Census Oicer.
30th March, 1960.
