Governor, by Proclamation, to prohibit in
certain circumstances, meetings and pro-
cessions, in the interests of good order and
the public safety.

COMMENCING Monday 22nd February,

(i) not less than eighteen nor more than thirty
years of age ;
(ii) able-bodied; and
(iii) of good character
are required for enlistment in the Grenada Volun-
teer Constabulary.
2. All such persons with the above qualifications
who are desirous of joining the Constabulary
should obtain application forms from the N.C.O.
in charge of the Police Station within their District
before Monday 22nd February, 1960, and should
assemble for selection at Police Stations as shown
hereunder :-

VACANT POST OF SUPERINTENDENT, LANDS
AND SURVEY DEPARTMENT, SAINT LUCIA


PPLICATIONS are invited for filling the post
of Superintendent, Lands and Survey De-
partment, Saint Lucia.
2. The successful candidate will be required to
administer the Lands & Survey Department; fulfil
the functions of Commissioner of Crown Lands;
and perform such other duties as may be provided
for by law, or as the Administrator may from.
time to time direct.
3. Applicants should possess the R.I.C.S.
Diploma, or higher qualifications, and have at
least five years' practice as a qualified Surveyor
with experience of the operation of land office,
cadastral surveys, lay our of housing schemes,
demarcation of Crown Lands, general engineering
and topographic sureys, handling of personnel.
4. The salary attached to the post is in the
scale $3,600 x 120-$4,560 per annum, plus 20%
pay addition.
5. The success full candidate will be required to
maintain a motor car for the performance of his
duties for which a transport allowance at an
approved rate will be payable.
6. Free passages will be provided for the officer
and his family on first appointment and on long:
leave in accordance with General Orders in force
from time to time.
7. Housing accommodation is not provided.
8. Application, stating qualifications, age and
experience, accompanied by at least two copies of
testimonials, must be submitted to the Chief
Secretary, Government Office, St. Lucia, to reach
him not later than 29th February, 1960.
